Estcourt Tavern

For me an overly-modernised traditional pub. Now one huge single room, extended, but with a nice outdoor space. Unfortunately it felt completely soulless and my pint of Ice Breaker IPA was far poorer than I’ve had elsewhere.

Staff were pleasant but sadly this was the only positive part of my experience.

Had the pleasure of dining here on 2 occasions last week. Food was tasty and portions plentiful, service was quick and staff welcoming and pleasant to deal with. A nice atmosphere in the tavern with a seating area outside. Look forward to my next visit to the area where I certainly will be paying a visit to Estcourt Tavern

Great pub, wonderful atmosphere. Really enjoyed the beer garden. The male barman with the beard and spiky hair was very entertaining and very knowledgeable on his ciders (I think his names began with a T, can't quite remember). The lady bartender with the tattoos was also a joy to be served by. All in all will recommend to friends and family when I come back to Watford next.

We came here for the first time on Saturday night for boxing. Staff very friendly. Didn’t have the cocktail I wanted however, the bar lady made me her own speciality of similar ingredients which was a lovely touch!

They placed us on a bigger table to ensure we had a clear view of the boxing. The food was great. Once the kitchen was shut we were still able to request a pudding as the bar staff prepared the pudding for us.

The environment was really good and controlled. We felt very comfortable and can’t wait to come back again in the future! Also recommended to a few people. Thanks again for a great night

We, a family of two grandparents, the mother and two grandchildren went into the Estcourt Tavern, Watford, quite late after a birthday visit to Harry Potter World.
We were politely informed that the children would need to be out hy 9pm. We agreed as there seemed enough time to eat a much needed meal.
The meals were fairly quickly prepared and served and were very good.
The children left with their mother for bed. My wife and I stayed a little longer.
The manager came over to help clear the table and we told her the reason for our trip. She apologised for the children ruling saying that it was usual to give a small dessert birthday treat for children. She brought back some Brownies for us to bring to our grandson.
Overall, we are grateful for a good meal and the hospitality.

Visited the pub the other day with my family and had a great time. Good food, friendly bar staff, great beer garden for the area and decent selections of ciders and beers. I couldn't ask for much more. Great work

First time coming here and was not at all disappointed. The food was excellent and the bar service was efficient and friendly (as was the table service!)
I will definitely be returning due to the comforting and cosy atmosphere. Thank you for this amazing evening!

I’m doing this as requested by the barman with the goatee, the service tonight was impeccable, on all counts, drinks were perfect, food was amazing so cudos to the chef. Top notch job all round had a wonderful evening with my friends.
