Such a friendly welcome that we went back. The dog was also warmly received. Staff were very attentive and the food was really tasty with good sized portions. Recommend it.

Lovely dog friendly pub and great location next to canal. Good drinks selection but uninspiring lunch menu.
Mac and cheese side was tasty and good value.
Beer battered fish and chips was ok, nothing great and so too was the chicken and bacon salad .
I liked the little doggy station and dog snacks .

Lovely country pub. Right on the King Alfred's way and allow camping in their field for just £10 a night. Food was plentiful and very tasty. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and even opened the pub around 0830 so we could use the toilets.

We got kicked out us because we had young children. This place is an absolute joke to todays family friendly pubs. Parasitic lady who had an issue with us and said its place for locals only. What an absolute tradigy.
I would not refer the devil to this pub. By far the worst place i have visted in my whole life. If you want arrogant and ignorant service, this is the place to go.

Lovely relaxed lunch in this busy pub. It is situated near the Basingstoke Canal & is popular with walkers & cyclists. Fairly standard pub grub but specials board is a welcome addition. I ordered Fish & Chips and my companion had MacNCheese, both were delicious and good value for money. The staff were friendly & attentive even though the pub & outdoors space was busy. Been a few times in the past & will definitely return.

Lovely beer garden with good food. Kids menu well priced for the portion sizes. No allergen menu but staff are knowledgeable and happy to adapt food where able.

We have started coming here after a day wandering the countryside to warm up and partake in a beverage or two. Found the pub very comfortable and the staff friendly. The drinks were good too.
