Great views and great food. Free car parking but the service wasn't good at all. We were rushed to order and then a long waiting for a couple of drinks. Then we ordered some food and some more drinks, we had to remind them a few times about the drinks and the sauces never arrived.

Delicious food, great views, really good non-alcoholic drinks choices (anywhere that serves Big Drop is good with me). Table service was a little slow and twice I had to go and find someone to get us served, but a small price to pay for such a decent and varied menu.

Beautiful location, plenty of seating outside even on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We ordered 2 drinks, 1 carton of squash, tiger prawns, pitta and hummus, and some chips. Total of £27.45. The three prawns were dry, tough and tiny, on a small slice of sour dough with a tiny piece of browning lettuce. The chips were barely warm, they came with a nice dip though. Bread and hummus was fine. This was the second time in a row where the food had been expensively mediocre. This was after being asked to provide feedback on the last meal we had, to which we were told our feedback will be taken on board. Definitely won't eat here again, but a nice setting for an (expensive) beer.

The food was very good, we had chicken and ham hock pie which was packed with meat. Pity we had to wait so long for it to arrive.
Didn't drink any alcohol but they serve Badgers beers which should be good. Parking across the road is free to customers.
On the down side it is as noisy as ever, a big open space with no soft furnishings or carpets.
Also on a warm June day the heating was on full blast so sitting next to a radiator was sweltering. Staff were informed but they left the heating on.
Slightly dog friendly at some tables in the bar and the garden but not the restaurant tables.

We visited whilst passing on a walk and were fortunate enough to get a bar service table with a sea view (weekday lunchtime). There didn't seem to be a large selection on the menu, but the food was well cooked and presented. I wouldn't make it a regular place to go, but would certainly use again.

Friendly staff, got to sit outside, watched the sun set, view was amazing! Food was great, shame there wasn't a bigger choice of spices (not even salt and pepper). Had a great time though as the atmosphere was good.

Best pub lunch of any of the pubs we’ve tried whilst staying locally. Busy, popular place serving an excellent menu; we were a group of 5 on New Year’s Day. We sampled the Daily Roast (rare, generous, thick slices of pink beef); the fish & chips (large piece of cod with delicious batter & thrice cooked chips & salad); the pork belly salad; the pie & the double bacon cheeseburger. All excellent & eaten overlooking the beach & the view to the Isle of Wight. Well cooked, generous portions & tasty, washed down with pints of cider & Fursty Ferret amber ale. Great experience; efficient friendly staff. Dog friendly! Perfect after a bracing beach walk. Sadly we didn’t have room for desserts. We will return!
