The best pub in Grantchester, no question. Great food at a great price, with very friendly staff and a good selection of drinks. You can't book ahead but I've never had a problem getting a table. Would particularly recommend the garden out back in summer time. Definitely a firm favourite!

We decided to stop for a drink and a bite somewhere on our way back to Birmingham from Stansted airport. What an utterly unpleasant experience! The pub itself is beautiful and cosy and the garden oh! so alluring. However the lady behind the bar could not hide her contempt at having to serve these two customers who were not local and unashamedly non-white. I believe she's generally an unpleasant and troubled lady who makes an effort with the customers she likes or knows and was simply herself with us. I wonder what those defenses were really about! Unpleasant experience. Avoid if you are not a local

Came for lunch today. A proper pub as pubs should be. Good food, friendly welcome and nice atmosphere. All the areas were spotlessly clean too. A thoroughly enjoyable visit!

Excellent food, quickly served, very friendly service, great atmosphere with an open fire. Dog friendly too! Perfect after a dog walk on an autumnal evening. Thank you, we will return.

Dec 2022 A very warm welcome from the owners and staff at the pub. Food and drinks were fantastic. Our room had great views across a snowy meadow and within easy walking distance of Cambridge. Will be going again 👌🏾

Love this little pub, It's absolutely perfect!! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is lovely with reasonable prices . My husband loved the beer choices, so it's definitely worth a visit for a traditional country pub experience! There isn't anything not to like about it!

Went there last year during August with my boyfriend, this blonde girl behind the bar kept giving me dirty looks, next day my (white english) boyfriend goes alone and he even gets free drinks. Normally I wouldn't think anything of it but I'm under the impresson it's not the first time this place gets called out for racial discrimination. Its sad and incredibly shameful on your part, it's 2022 you guys, not discriminating foreigner costumers is beyond the bare minimum.
