The Wyvern

Excellent local pub. 2 massive beer gardens. Food is great, beer selection is massive. Live music on the weekends. Been here many times but lost a star due to 1 rude staff member. And they had no ice for my gin and tonic, which isn't cheap.

We have been to the wyvern several times and have always enjoyed it. This evening was not quite as good as usual. We had to wait nearly one and a half hours for our food, celebrating after our sons GCSEs. The steak was ordered as medium rare but was well done, chips which came out later were under cooked unfortunately. My scampi and the chicken burger also ordered was lovely at least. The out door seating area is perfect for an eating out with our slightly nervous dog. We had an enjoyable evening together but the food could have been better.

We thought we would give the Wyvern another chance. Very glad we did. We were greated by Tracey (General Manager), she was very friendly and helpful. It was like walking into a completely different pub. Will be back again soon.

This is my new local and I am very disappointed. The pub was not friendly or welcoming. Also, the barmaid was not impressed when I asked her what lager they had on tap. She begrudgingly told me what was on offer like it was too much hassle. Will not be going back any time soon.

Just had food here. Awful, my chilli was tasteless and my wife’s scampi wasn’t much better. Chips tasted like they were cooked in chemicals, like bleach. Shame as the pub itself is nice and the beers are kept well.

Excellent venue, staff were warm and friendly, and the group Mafia were excellent.

Absolutely packed, great atmosphere, just what I needed on a Friday night out when I don't get many!

First time at this pub, and I'm very happy with it, nice people clean place, well presented the only flaw was the length of time it took to get are dinner.

Great service and a really good choice of food the menu. The food was really good and tasty.

I had the Falafel burger and my friend had the chilli topped beef burger. Both were amazing A+++
