Excellent pub serving a number of different beers and Thai food. There is plenty of space to drink and eat inside or outside, although I would recommend booking if you want to eat at busy times.

This was not our first visit and we will be back.

Best Thai food, by far, in Cheltenham
DEYA Steady Rolling Man also on tap.
It doesn't get much better than this 👍

My first time going to The Railway for Thai food and it definitely lived up to the hype. Staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and service was quick. The main dining area was busy when we arrived but we were offered a nice quiet spot out the back in The Snug, which was perfect.

They have a great selection of food including vegan and gluten free options, and a great choice of drinks at the bar too.

Food was ordered and served quickly despite being very busy, and was fresh and piping hot. We ordered several dishes to share and everything arrived at the same time and was delicious!

Fantastic place for date night, or meeting with friends in a really relaxed and friendly atmosphere. 100% recommend 🥘🍲🥘

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The menu was really diverse and different from any menu I’ve seen before. The food was excellent and their flavours are nothing short of divine!! Everything we ate was lovely

Food was delicious. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the dishes available.

The prawn dumpling was crispy and very tasty. The marinated steak was sublime. The whole seabass was rather large for one person, but was crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked inside.

The atmosphere was lively with a great buzz to the place.

Only slight gripe was the wine prices. Thought they were on the high side, but there was a decent choice available.

Would definitely come again.

I have been to the Railway about 3 or 4 times. Previously I had been when they used to do Sausages rather than thai food.
So this time I went along with 4 of my workmates and we booked ahead and ordered ahead of time also.
We arrived 30 minutes early as we wanted to have a couple of pints before the meal. They just sat us down in our booked table. They do have Deya on tap which is my favourite so that was great.
I had the pork dumplings for starter, which was OK, but I wished I had picked something different.
For main I had the duck and some roti and they were both outstanding. The duck is well worth trying.
There was a bit of confusion over what my workmates ordered as they asked for the pork but were given the duck. But they sorted that out quickly and made the pork for them.
Whilst we were there a pub quiz started so we thought we would do it. The hardest quiz I've ever done! A round on serial killers, politicla quotes! We did terribly but it was fun.

I love The Railway! The beer selection is amazing, and they have a great selection of vegan options! I would love to know what tofu they use as it's so light. The staff are very friendly. I have pretty much sampled all of the vegan options on the menu and can honestly say there isn't a bad option on there. I would recommend the railway for a quiet drink, or a meal. It's dog friendly too!

The railway is genuinely one of the best places to ‘just go for a drink’ or to ‘find a really good ipa’ or for ‘arguably the best Thai in the area’ and also ‘a beautiful beer garden’ and it’s because of its ability to tick all these boxes that it’s done so well in recent years.

The craft sausage restaurant idea was a tad too niche but with Smokey Phi-Phi, they have a beautiful smelling wood fired Thai grill on the go - it’s defo worth trying the duck or marinated sirloin as they’re just excellent tasting dishes with a cold pint of a local IPA.

Recently had some tap takeovers which makes it a must-visit for the craft beer enthusiasts and one for the guys in there, Alex, knows a thing or two about pints and is always happy to chat.

Finally, it’s the perfect place to take a dog. The staff are super friendly to dogs, offering bowls of water and biscuits as well as generally going out their way to make you and your pooch feel welcome.
