Fantastic location and a comfortable place to relax and eat some really tasty dishes (sorry, I forgot to take any photos!).

The menu is fantastic, catering to many requirements including veggie, vegan and gluten free.

The staff were attentive and friendly. I also really appreciated their flexibility when I had some issues with my payment method. They were kind and were able to help me get everything sorted quickly and easily.

The food is excellent, great flavours with good portions cooked perfectly.

Staff were incredible, we attended a wedding reception with around 80 guests. Excellent disabled accommodation. The venue was clean and modern with a countryside feeling. The food was excellent that was supplied for the day. It was a warm day and the staff worked exceptionally hard in and out of the kitchen whilst maintaining an excellent professional attitude. I would definitely revisit if in the area.

Newly moved to the area so went over. The whole vibe is relaxed, calm and slow which was amazing after unpacking all day. Couches to sink into lit by candle light. The waitress we had (Hanna? I believe) was just lovely and was really kind when I seemed to know nothing of the establishment. Loads on the menu for my partner who is gluten and lactose free which is just the best thing. Technically this is now our local and I suspect we'll be round fairly often.

Shocking service!
We checked your opening hours on Google before we arrived - open until 10pm.
A group of us arranged to meet, some travelling a fair distance.
We arrived at 7.30pm and ordered drinks. At 7.50pm we asked to order food, only to be told you’d stopped serving.
It says 8pm on your website.
We then asked for coffees and were told that wasn’t possible as ‘we’ve switched off the coffee machine to save electricity’. Really??
Maybe we should have left at this point, but decided to continue as we don’t get to see each other often.
We ordered more drinks, then at 9 pm the bell rang for last orders.
At 9.10pm a young man came and asked us to leave.
Five minutes later he came back and said that we had to go NOW as staff were waiting and there was ‘no point staying open as you are the only customers’.
Not even an apology.

Our custom was clearly not important and we were made to feel extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable.
We all left feeling very annoyed - what should have been a lovely, sociable evening was ruined by lack of service and staff that clearly felt inconvenienced by our presence.
A real shame.

Called in on the off chance for lunch, as my wife and I were just out for a drive. Were made very welcome and we were allowed to bring our dog in with us.
We thought that it was part of a pub chain, however, it was privately owned and what a difference. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable, good food, good service not a lot more that you want for a relaxing unhurried lunch. We'll done to all.

Sad to post a negative review

My mum, myself and our friend went out for a meal to catch up and decided to go to the Gupshill Manor as have had nice meals there in the past. We ordered our drinks and then the waitress came back to take our food order.

We all picked the same meal - pan fried chicken breast with green beans, dauphinoise potatoes and black pepper sauce. I don't like green beans so asked if I could have carrots instead. The waitress was lovely and said that was fine. The meals were £15 each

This was our first mistake.

The food then came, not long after ordering but no drinks had arrived.... looking at the plates of food, very confused.. I don't know where these chickens came from but there would have been more meat on a pigeon breast than on our plates, plus also had a shoulder/boned part also... the meat was just two very small slices, about the size of a tipp-ex mouse. Totally non existant presentation... just thrown on the plate. My young nieces could have plated it up better. Finally, when the drinks arrived, I asked the waitress if we had the correct meals as we all had boned parts as well as very small slices of chicken. She went off to speak to the chef but as we were all hungry my companions started eating their food. The waitress came back and said yes this is what we have ordered and the boney but is part of the chicken breast..... hmmmm. She did offer to swap my meal but I was hungry so said it was ok. To be fair, it tasted nice but the carrots were past their best. The dauphinoise were ok but again, small portion.

The waitress came back to take our plates and we chose our puddings. Two of us had the waffles and one had the brownie.

Second mistake.

The waffles were lovely, but the brownie, nice though it was, half way through eating it my friend found some plastic wrapping in it and then in her penultimate mouthfuls... yes another piece of plastic wrapping... we called the waitress over again and showed her the plastic.. she was very apologetic and went off to speak to the chef again.... 5 minutes later she came back with another apology and offered to take the brownie off the bill which we accepted. A waiter then came over and asked us if we wanted tea or coffee but as two out of three of us had a bad experience my mum wasn't willing to take the risk of a third mistake so we paid the bill and went home..

The waitress couldn't have been nicer but we will not be going back anytime soon and will be telling all our friends all about what a bad experience we had..

Poor show Gupshill... for a nice place to go that meal really wasn't great, would have had a better plate of food in Wetherspoons(no offence meant) for half the price. Perhaps a training session on presentation and serving a entire chicken breast to customers who are paying £15 for it would be an idea..

Always have a drink on a Sunday but decided to have a Sunday roast . Meal was very small considering the price and warm not hot . Had a desert as I was still hungry? And for the price was shocking. Never again

Sunday Roast Beef with pan gravy with red wine. 3 vegetables. Pudding was peanut-butter cheesecake and a mixed Berry Waffle with vanilla ice cream . Very friendly staff, quick service and dog friendly dinning in a separate area to the restaurant. Ambiance a little noisy but it is a family pub.
