The Black Pug

It took quite a while for them to take our order, but when the food came it was tasty. Staff are friendly. Loaded fries are yummy! Knickerbocker glory was fab too!

Excellent evening sat in the garden of the Black Pug. Good beer and laid back atmosphere made it a great evening. I will definitely be making a return visit soon

The place itself is very nice, The staff are all very friendly and the service is exceptional. They are very attentive to their guests and always alert to their tables. There is an easy access door for wheelchair access. The place is very cosy and has a great outdoor area. The food was very nice and well priced. The toilets are very clean. I would highly recommend to anyone who likes good food, good atmosphere and good staff. 10/10

Edit - We went again today and sat outside. Again the service was exceptional from all the staff and the food and atmosphere was perfect for the hot day. Thanks again guys, see you soon!

Seems like it would be a nice but with lots of outdoor seating but as we visited on an extremely busy day during road race for common wealth games our experience was not great.

They had put out extra seating but not enough staff or facilities to accommodate - queued a long time for the bar, once they opened the outside bar it was fine to get a drink but they only had two women's toilets and one was out of order - score mainly for toilets sorry.

Just had the best mac n cheese. Top notch grub. Nice local atmosphere beautiful outside space. Wish we had time to stay longer. Staff were young but superb. Very warm and helpful. My sister has decided that is her new spot. High praise indeed. Highly recommended.

Huge thanks to the amazing team at the Black Pug who made our engagement party extra special and went above and beyond on the day. We had a tasty buffet and all the guests commented on how great the food was. The atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were all very helpful and kept all our decorations safe for us the next day. Thanks again!

Lovely pub, great undercover outdoor areas aswell. Food is always amazing, fresh, tasty and a good variety and very well priced…steak is cooked to perfection and the small plates are great value if you fancy a nice selection. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our favourite local!

Stopped on way past last night and loved set it so much we came back for breakfast this morning!

Really friendly staff, fab location and setting (probably one of the biggest beer gardens I've ever seen, with plenty of under cover seating and an outside bar), drinks on point and both meals were terrific.

Thoroughly recommend 👍
