Great place they quite often have some brilliant events on, when tree hugging crew (THC) have their speaker rig there it always makes for a great night.

The Golden Lion has just reopened and is brilliant! It looks great and the atmosphere was really happy and friendly. We had some food and a drink and they said they will have a full menu soon. I heard the new owners had done a great job in making it a nice place to be so thought we'd try it out. It was great. Apparently, when COVID allows, there will be live music there too! They can even sort you out a drum lesson if you want! Give it a try!!

Just need to add that as the pub couldn't open due to lockdown restrictions they've invested in a gourmet burger bar behind the pub. We tried them out last week and the burgers were lovely and cooked to order while we waited so fresh and a lovely salad and some chips on the side too. All good!!!!

Visited Gloucestershire for the week and stayed in Cinderford this was a lovely pub and the staff are really friendly. Would definitely recommend

Just called in for my first pint in this pub (12.30pm)and I can't fault it,friendly staff, good pint, definitely go back again.👍
