Beautiful traditional Inn! Found off a hiking route Loved the Sunday roast, my friend had a scrumptious tuna steak. Hidden gem in the Costworlds, with a welcoming family ambience & warm host. Will definitely recommend.

Lovely warm welcome cosy pub atmosphere great food. We like the good selection of beers cider and wine... and the cutest pub dog Ben. Pub garden is good size and one of our favourite local Cotswold walks on the doorstep.

Lovely place, typical English pub in Cotswolds. Really appreciating the beer garden in a sunny day 😜👍😎

Sunday roast. Small plate 15 pounds large plate 20.
Difference? 1 very small piece of meat and 1 extra potato. We also paid extra for cauliflower cheese. Came home hungry. Such a shame as had eaten there a couple of month's ago aand it was plentyful.

We had a fabulous lunch for 4 people, the food was superb. Lovely choice of local beers/cider. Nice building full of character. The staff were very attentive. Will definitely be going back. We all really enjoyed the Craven Arms. Thank you.

I'd give it 3.5.
The good bits - nice inside, well presented and very tasty food, serving staff were good, decent garden.
Not so good - regardless of how well behaved your dog is it must be kept on a lead even in the garden which is where we sat, seems unnecessary and restrictive to well behaved dogs and none of the other pubs in the area we ate at demanded this and no mention of this policy on their website. Expensive drinks around £3 - £4 more expensive than comparable pub restaurants within a 5 or so mile radius for a beer and wine. We must have arrived before the main lunchtime rush as our starters and mains arrived too quickly. If you eat in the garden you cannot pay for the first round then leave the card behind the bar/get a tab meaning you have to go in and pay for each round of drinks but more to the point they add a 'discretional' 10% service charge on which you will need to pay in advance of eating which is too presumptuous and biased in their favour.
With minor changes this experience could have been a lot better.

Had our first opportunity to try this lovely pub in a lovely part of the world. Visiting friends, we all had a lovely meal and the pie and mash was out of this world!

A great starting and finishing place for a pleasant walk but if you just want a drink or two after the walk and DON'T want a MEAL, forget about parking your car in the pub car park because you won't be allowed to!!
