We visited the Miners Arms on the hottest day of the year, 17 June. Two cold lagers were like nectar! 😃 🍺 We sat in the beer garden with beautiful views of forest and colourful flowers. We had the Miners chicken and chips, plus the halloumi salad. Both were very good, top chef. The service was excellent, including the bar staff and the waiting staff. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Popped in with the view to have a coffee, but as soon as we saw the sausage rolls, we changed our mind! Absolutely delicious! Lovely staff, lovely clean pub and bathrooms. Massive plus as well, the bar area is dog friendly. If we are ever back in the area, it’s on our list of places to revisit.

My family and I visited as we are staying near by and we had been told the pub was dog friendly. We had no reservation but the staff made room for us within 15 minutes although looking already busy. Our dog was made just as welcome as we were and offered a few treats. The food was fantastic and everything you would expect from a friendly village pub. I cannot recommend highly enough and we will visit again without hesitation when we come back to the area.

I needed to find a place for lunch which would be about the same distance for my cousin in Wales and myself in Cheltenham. Lydney was a suitable distance and read the reviews for The Miner's Arms and I'm SO pleased I did. What an absolutely fabulous place it is. An excellent friendly welcome when I arrived Clean, comfortable and a great choice of trad ales. Plenty of dishes from which to choose which include vegetarian and gluten free and also lots of meat dishes for the carnivores too!
It will definitely be the place we will go to every time we want to meet up. In fact...I can hardly wait to go there again.

The best steak pie me and my wife say we've ever had and our lad devoured his burger and fries saying it was delicious.
Very friendly and helpful staff who can't do enough for you.
We would highly recommend going if your in the area.

Nothing specific to vomplain about. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. Busy but not too busy. Food was just OK. Husband paid £25 for a steak and was an extra £2 for a sauce. The steak was chewy and disappointing. Very small portion of chips. Meal for 3 and 2 desserts, 1 beer, 1 wine and 2 soft drinks with tip was £100. I felt it was too much for what we had

Nice atmosphere and meal. Attentive staff and good service. Slightly disappointed that some of the special meals and craft beer was no longer available. Otherwise all good
Thanks N
