Decent little pub garden, costs is on par with all other pubs. Atmosphere is okay, staff are friendly.

Ever wondered what happens when the leaseholders of a brewery run chain pub that lose the will to live? Welcome to the Fox Inn.
Public holiday the day after boxing day? no problem! Be welcomed with a facial expression that saps any suggestion of festive cheer.
The alcoholic landlord and his (presumably long-suffering wife) will be happy to inform you that food previously promised over a telephone enquiry is no longer available.
You may grit your teeth and accept this during the current publican crisis, up until the point 10pm time is called on a whim and you overhear the landlord asking his staff/wife why they dared to honour drinks requests at 9:55.

I'll let the attached photos speak for themselves.
On the plus side, every pint comes with a free 3rd world disease due to unacceptable hygiene standards, which was nice. Dont ask to see the food prep back-room would be my advice.

I grew up in this village and came back to visit friends. I used to think the other pub in this rural location was the real menace. No longer....

We stopped off at the Fox for a pint and a sandwich, two of us had the steak and onion and one had the cut ham. They were delicious and so were the fat chips . The lady who served us was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would certainly recommend this pub and its sandwiches which were very reasonably priced.
