After a long day with 2 kids in legoland and a stop over needed before 2 days in Chessington world of adventures, we booked the Raven as our mid way point.

We were delayed leaving legoland as the gift shopped called us!! So we phoned ahead to let the hotel know what was happening. The lady who answered, her was Diane, reminder us when we did arrive to check in later that evening.
They had placed a table on reserve for us in the bar as we mentioned that we would be having dinner there that evening also.

All staff that we encountered were both friendly and helpful.

Dinner that evening was excellent, as travelling around England we noted that there was not much veg apart from garden peas and chips, neither of which featured much on their menu!!

I had a signature huntsmans chicken and veg!, which was broccoli, cabbage and carrots.
If I could have I would have liked my plate!

My wife had a beef and ale pie, again with the same veg, and the plate was again cleared.

Our kids had a pizza and fish fingers with mash potatoes and garlic bread. It's what they wanted!!
Again both plates were cleaned.

Room was very clean and modern, with 2 single beds and a double.

Over all we were all very happy with our stay and would recommend.

We just stayed here for three nights. The hotel staff were excellent and even sorted out an accessible room when they realised I have mobility issues. Both the hotel and pub staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Visited for lunch and was very impressed with everything. Firstly the service was fantastic and both highly attentive and exceptionally friendly. The Menu was had loads of options and was quite reasonable for the quality of the food and was very tasty. Finally the atmosphere was very pleasant and the decor was well furnished and had lots of historical character. Didn’t stay in the hotel but I can certainly recommend the dining side of the Raven. Will definitely return!

So pleased with the helpful staff at this hotel. We were turned away from another local hotel, despite having a confirmed booking. The staff here did everything they could to fit us in, and made us feel very comfortable.
We had a very nice meal in the evening, plus two pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord.
The breakfast staff were very friendly and efficient as well.

Interesting! Strange atmosphere, definitely a locals pub, didn't feel welcome. 4.30pm and a group of drunk over 60's not an invitation to stay. 2 stars 🌟 🌟

Superbly helpful staff. Visited for lunch so can't comment on hotel facilities, but the pub/bar area was great. Booked a table on line which was readily reserved. The two ladies on duty at lunchtime really went out of their way to help my disabled mum.

Quick drink after work. Well priced good selection of drinks. It seemed busy and popular.
