Went in Dec 2020 (Tier 2 Colchester / Tier 4 London). Friendly helpful staff. Ordered wings as 'Substantial meal' to go with pints of Peroni. Enjoyed. Had football on TV. RECOMMEND.

A great pub to visit at the beginning of the high street, fair priced pints and a great selection, good service for the footie and pub grub too. A very enjoyable place

Because I was present through shift change, I was served by two different barmen today.

Both were friendly, polite, professional and oh-so likeable. I am new to England and for a country often dubbed as being "cold", this place gave me serious reservations about such feedback. (Many others have too, but this stands out for me, 5weeks in.)

The pub vibe was awesome. I sat in a corner and read a book while I waited for my food, then listened to a podcast while I ate and sipped on a nice cold glass (or 3 😁).
Having just come off a rough first 2weeks' work, this was the chill-therapy I needed. Thank you CAMULODUNUM and your excellent team!!! xoxo

A lovely warm and welcoming pub restaurant, situated on colchester highstreet. The food here is great value for money and has all the traditional pub favourites from steak and ale pie to burgers and in between. Also its not badly priced either! Freindly, warm and welcoming staff with an array of catering options from vegans to vegetarians and allergy free options. A good experience all round, give these a try when your next in Colchester.

Very slow service. Had the smell of a very old pub in need of decorating. The food was good when it finally arrived.

Went with my mate tiny nath for a quick pint of coke while we waited for the table in nandos. Nice and busy, good atmosphere🤝

Food was good. Quick service. Good selection of lager and Ale. Had run out of Green King IPA on the day.

Edit: I turned up today and he got me that pint of IPA. Lovely, so stayed and had some more 😎. Top man Martin.

Great, full, at very quiet time in the day. Good prices! Lots of chairs and tables to choose where to sit! Very nice reasonably priced menu. We were impressed at how reasonably priced it was in here and how comfortable it was !
