White Lion

Came here for some food with my young family. We booked table for 3pm and our table was ready when we arrived. We ordered nachos to share and burgers for mains they were all lovely especially the upgraded spicy fries. The children all had kids meals and my little girl said they were the best chips ever.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back but maybe next time without the kids so we can try their massive selection of gins.

I popped in to the White Lion last night with my friends. Boozy Bingo was on and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The staff served me with a great attitude and a smile on there faces. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back again!

Lovely food and good wine. A busy, buzzing atmosphere. Staff were lovely and helpful. I recommend the steak skewer.😋

What a great pub! Really good atmosphere in here with a very friendly and attentive new manager. The food came out hot and delicious. We shall be returning very soon!

Came here on Friday night with my friends. Atmosphere was brilliant and the staff were really attentive! Good selection of Gins for me to make my way through! Will be back!

Unfortunately our experience here was not so great. We stopped for lunch and we regret it. We had a Sunday roast that came without Yorkshire pudding, no greens and no carrots. I asked about it and they said they've ran out. Really? At 2 pm on a Sunday? Yet we've been charged full price! Also a portion of chicken wings which came with the wrong sauce. Apart from the roast potatoes and chips, nothing else was good. And for all this we had to wait for an hour when it wasn't even that busy...

Great afternoon in the white lion recently! Only popped in for lunch and ended up staying for a few hours, it was warm welcoming and tye staff were amazing. Food was lovely too, this is a little gem of a pub in Sawbridgeworth. Will be back again soon.
Highly recommend.

The pub had a lovely atmosphere about it, we found the staff helpful and friendly, the service was good, the food was hot and the drinks flowed. Will definitely visit again.
