When you walk into a hotel and the welcome is as good as it was here you know you are going to enjoy your stay. Brilliant hotel and very good value. The room was a little small but clean and well appointed but this really is nit picking. The food was great. Can really recommend the prawn cocktail. Unlike some places it's not hunt the prawn. The steak pie! Not good for the figure but bloomin lovely. Good breakfast. What more could you ask. Recommend you try it.

Lovely clean room and excellent breakfast. We also ate in the restaurant where the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Couldn't ask for more. We'll be back.

The perfect country pub. Log fire, comfortable seating, great decor, lovely food and drink. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We hope to visit again one day

Went for lunch to celebrate my sisters birthday. Lovely food and fantastic service. John even came and sang happy birthday to my sister. Thanks all, we will be back soon.

Genuinely outstanding food, warm welcome and excellent service, brilliant. Small details like real garlic in the garlic mayo and the quality and freshness of the scampi make a big difference. It is rare to have a pub lunch with food and service this good, and food that tastes so freshly made. With the 2 course lunch offer it is also amazing value, i really recommend it. Coffee wasn't the best for some reason and could do with a few more vegetarian options, also only a minor niggle but even though the portion sizes were good the plates were slightly small which i find makes it harder to enjoy the food, but other than that perfect.

Excellent food and very reasonably priced, warm and cosy atmosphere. Only gripe would be that it was really busy and we had 3 party's of 6 so service was abit slow at times with ordering and serving as some of us had finshed eating before others had eaten.
Apart from that a really good friendly pub and food.
