A bustling pub full of locals with a huge garden space with plenty of room for all. The staff were friendly and the drinks were good value. Food was lovely however the crisps were a bit stale and salad a bit lacking with the sandwiches otherwise really lovely and good value for money

This is a lovely old pub not far (about a mile) from Epping High Street. It is tiny inside and most of the seating is outside. The three of us had sandwiches for lunch which were really tasty - coronation chicken, sausage and onion and cheese and pickle. We had good friendly service and would go back if in the area again. Please note there is very little parking for the pub.

Really cosy pub, quite a lot of indoor seating and loads of outdoor seating. Dog friendly and a good pub quiz once a month where winnings to to charity and you get free chips for each team as part of participation. Good selection of beers on tap. Worth a visit!

Very quaint little country pub with a fantastic veg lasagne, and equally fantasy customer service. Everything was cooked fresh, but it came out surprisingly fast. The garlic bread is homemade and to die for. Definitely recommend popping in after a long walk in Epping Forest.

A proper pub, and dog friendly too. Fairly small menu but food is very good. The lasagne was big enough for two. There is also a large garden at the front of the pub, full of tables

Dog friendly, good choice of ales, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. They do food here, we didn't eat but the staff enquired if we wanted to before they shut the kitchen, which was very thoughtful. We sat outside under cover as we had muddy boots from a forest walk and the weather was warm enough. We have been inside a few times , plenty of seating, great character

Slightly shabby outside. Photographs of this public house are a little bit misleading as there is no available car park the car park is for the restaurant next door.Food was nice . I found the chips a little greasy and the burger a bit dry. Standard. Service was very good and the inside of the pub looks very quaint.

Our favourite local pub. Friendly, you can take dogs in, they do food and there's not much not to like!
