Turned up on a Tuesday evening. Staff seemed pleasant. Noticed a special on rump steak meals, so wife and I ordered it along with a starter combi.
Presentation was good, but quality of beef was very poor. Ended up leaving most of mine, too grisly, not enough actual meat. The wife found hers was edible, but struggled. Lucky we ordered the large starter.
Won't be returning....!

The food here is really nice, the prices are good and portion sizes are generous. The staff are polite too. We really enjoyed our meal, and will definitely go back. This is proper food. We weren't rushed with each course so you have time, to enjoy your food. Great place to eat.

Absolutely lovely pub!
Had my daughters baby shower here and it was a total success! The atmosphere was brilliant, everyone enjoyed themselves and the buffet food (which was hot and cold food) was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be going again soon and will be telling everyone I know about this fantastic pub/venue.

Thank you to all the staff involved in making our night such a success!

Very disappointed. On entering the premises, one customer was blowing his nose over the entrance (without a tissue). The male toilets were shocking, urine and urine smells everywhere. Such a shame as they have excellent disabled and baby changing facilities. I ordered the stake and ale pie with chips and peas. The pie looked absolutely fantastic & was full of filling artisan in appearance. Spoilt though as the "chef" well over cooked it in the microwave. This makes the pastry go very hard & inedible as it cools. The chips were of the frozen kind and you only got about 12 of them, really not enough. The peas were like bullets. Such a shame. Eating out is a luxury, something a lot of restaurants have forgotten. If you can do better food at home, you've just wasted your money.

Has recently become my favourite "restaurant" hadn't visited the pub in a long time but now I try to go a couple of times a week. The food prices compete even with home cooking and win in a lot of areas. The food is great quality and even when it is busy I haven't had any really notable waits, the service is great and the atmosphere is good. Also was really nice to see the pub decorated and carrying the Christmas spirit over the holidays I particularly liked the little sleigh!

Visited on Thursday for a meal booked a table for 18:00 the lady with dark hair behind the bar didn't even greet us with a hello or a smile and just pointed us to our table and also didn't explain how we order! we ordered some drinks and starters via the app and the food arrived before our drinks, I went to the bar to let the lady know we'd been waiting 30 minutes for our drinks the bar wasn't even busy) and she very rudely replied (yeah 2 secs) another 8 mins later she finally brought over our drinks and by the time we had finished our starters! mains arrived ( food was ok) but not one apology from the rude bar lady or the gent who brought our food whom I also explained that we hadn't got our drinks! customer service was absolutely disgusting!
To top off our already shocking experience... the halloumi was burned to a crisp and the toilets were unclean and smelly.
Avoid!

First time here and the atmosphere is great. The pub has its own car park (just remeber to to register when you go in). We had the Christmas menu which was limited to a number of starters mains and desserts. I found this really useful as it stopped any messing about with people not know what to choose. Everything had a Christmas twist which was great. My burger came with a sausage and sprout on top! Food tasted great and service was excellent. Will be back again in the new year for sure!
