The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent ( i recommend the caesar burger, or any of the nachos), wide range of alcoholic drinks also. Great, big outside area. Order at the bar or someone comes to your table.

Best pub in Canterbury. Friendly and efficient staff. Very tasty food. Special shout out to the Manager Stuart, his Mum Sam and Connor who’s moustache is so groomed you could hang your coat on it (or anything else that takes your fancy) Thanks for a great experience.

The Dolphin was full when we arrived at 7.30pm on Saturday, luckily we had reserved a table but it was small for five people, the landlord noticed and kindly offered us his table. from then on it just got better, the service was excellent, quick, efficient, friendly and good advise given when asked for. The food was excellent and with generous portions, the wine menu was extensive and the rose we choose delicious. None of us could find fault or have any complaints, it was a very pleasant experience. The Dolphin deserves five stars and is highly recommend.

What a Public House! This was the venue that we returned to most frequently on our weekend break.

Stuart and his team, both front and back of house, were attentive, professionally, polite and fun!

If you want to have a proper pint, where the landlord can actually be bothered to clean his lines, and a proper meal - this must be on your itinerary.

Our Sunday lunch was exceptional. We are coming back in a couple of months for 'The Trio' - local produce, properly cooked, and perfectly presented.

This is FIVE STARS. I don't really do reviews, but if it's good, it's worth shouting about.

Food was nice, we had Vegan Nachos, Onion Rings, Fish and Chips etc. But next time we will know to book a table in advance, as the place was packed and we had to sit in the cold outside (beer garden). There was a large obnoxious group of lads (a big family?) out there, presumably a party, who just stood around for the hour or more we were there, talking very loud, they didn't order any food... Also people smoking right near where we were eating is not great. Only two working toilets also... lol

Have loved this pub for years, great friendly service, reasonably priced drinks and food (for off the beaten path in Canterbury.) Dogs more than welcome and great outside area. Would recommend to anyone looking for either dinner or a few drinks by the fire on a winters evening.
