Honestly I have lived 50m from this pub for over 20 years. I have been in from time to time but never went back because in the “old days” it had a locals only feel with older generation who had been going for years and would stare are the foreign folks walking in. The there wasn’t always food served because of issues with a chef. I don’t just sit drinking in a pub so that didn’t work and would land up at All Bar One. I am happy to say that the new landlords are amazing and friendly and so welcoming. They even made me a cocktail that was off menu. The food was good, I enjoyed it and so did my friends who I had invited along to give it a try. I will definitely be back. The renovation is amazing it’s a lovely looking bar. It smells and looks fresh.
So happy to have a local I want to go to.

Pub had a great atmosphere with a decent selection of beer. Food was delicious! Being dog friendly is an added bonus, with water bowls and dog treats left out ready.

First time here and have to say the pub is clean family friendly and has a nice atmosphere. The Sunday Beef roast I and my Mrs had was exceptional, I recommend whole heartedly, will be back soon 9/10

Very impressed with the refurb & new menu. Had lunch & drinks today with my husband and friend. Absolutely delicious 😋 food, good size portions, good selection of draught lagers/beers etc. Very clean & comfortable seating inside & out. Added bonus, it's a dog friendly pub with lots of doggy treats & fresh water. Definitely will visit again with our 4 legged family member 🐕 😀

A real gem of a pub great atmosphere friendliest staff. Used to use this pub regularly but was not great, heard some good feedback so decided to try again. We went in as a family of 9 all had different meals from the menu. All meals were enjoyed. We enjoyed so much that we booked for the next day. We had 2 beef roasts, absolutely amazing home cooking and such large portions for a very good price. Recommend to book Sunday roasts.
Can’t wait to go back.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly and helpful team, food was delicious and nicely presented 👌 They have a fab Festive menu from 16 Nov.

Fruit flies everywhere, lady behind bar in very casual clothes very grumpy said I couldn't have lemon in my drink because she would have to cut it up! She was also moaning about management very grumpy ! Food on the other hand was lovely. They also didn't have a log of the table reserved that we wanted due to hard of hearing friend, and wouldn't ask people to move. Dog friendly lots of treats for them. But that one bar lady awful. Decor good Customers friendly. Lamb Wellington not available since Christmas but still on menu

We visited this pub on Saturday 7th Jan in the evening, it was quite empty, iasked for a Gordon's dry gin. The lad picked up pink gin. We ordered food, and it was on the table in 10 minutes, l don't think this could have been cooked in 10 minutes, l ordered hunters chicken which came on a board, my husband ordered a burger with pulled beef, the pulled beef was slightly warm. I will not be eating here again.
