First time visiting this pub and I felt very welcome. Good atmosphere with quite a few locals there, and friendly owner /bar staff. Also enjoyed the craft beer, the name of which I have forgotten.

There is a beer garden in the back as well.

Lovely beer, great atmosphere and some lovely food. I've tried most of the pubs in town and this is hands down the best. Great, well kept beer and lovely (no-thrills) homemade pub grub. The lovely team has made the best of the situation. Order through Facebook and the beer arrives a few minutes later.
Helps makes the punters feel confident and safe, Thank you 😊

A truly great wee pub is the Pig. Always a nice pint can be had. Curious Brew is a favourite of mine and can be found here.
It's about as traditional and atmospheric as a great British pub gets, certainly for Maidstone anyway. There's a little courtyard to catch a few rays when the sun is shining.
If you're staying around for more than a couple, the best advice I can give is to watch your head when you're moving about the place!!
All round a charming place and well worth stopping by!

I love this pub. Its like drinking in a wonky shoebox. The whole places simply oozes history and quirkiness and personifies the quintessential Olde English pub. The beers are good and the clientelle are just as quirk as the walls and tiny winding staircases. Just far enough outisde the main town thoroughfare to deter the casual yobs, so tends to be populated by the more interesting and diverse characters.

Love this place. Always a very friendly welcome and well kept real ales. My only 'complaint' is I have to wait for my Irish Setters to get water and treats before I get served! I know where I stand in the pecking order🤣

Quirky interior, good ale selection and a very comfortable atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Reputably one of the oldest buildings in Maidstone and certainly looks the part inside and out. Just on the outskirts of the town centre and well worth popping in.

Excellent, traditional English pub. Interesting old building. Good real beers. Great when you have just rung a 3 hour peal at All Saints!

Great pub, but mind your head on the low beams. Staff are excellent.
