It's an Irish bar so the right , but wrong, place to start a St Patrick's day evening pub crawl. I managed to get in. The rest of our party couldn't as the security guys closed the doors at 6.30 as the pub was absolutely rammed. You can't blame a bar for been popular but we had to move on. Still the view of the city was nice.

Best roast dinner I've had in ages and also only 12 pounds 👌 great service too and super nice Thai owners

Tried to go to this pub multiple times but have always been put off by the rude security guard and unwelcoming staff. Security guard has mocked my outfit and was very patronising and condescending. Bar staff were unfriendly and apathetic. Such a shame as the building, interior and location of this pub are great but it’s let down by the workforce.

Great experience. Pat the Bouncer is a highlight. Looks after everyone and doesn't stand for bad people. This is an excellent pub with great staff. But kudos to Pat for keeping the area safe.

Always good to pop in here for a pint. Not too expensive, food looks amazing, excellent beer garden. The constant loud sport on the TV is annoying but that's a personal preference.

Pub is GREAT, amazing pub ambiente and live music sometimes - but the restaurant that caters is the Thai next door (not certain if always the case). Good food but asked for a veggie option on burger night and got a firm “NO” as an answer twice even when I asked to swap for tofu any chance…? (They have tofu satay on the Thai food menu) - would’ve gladly paid more to get what otherwise looked a great burger, just minus the meat. Ordered one of the available veggie thai food options: pad thai. Was disappointed/disgusted to find that some duck (?) meat had been put into the mix… and not even sure if it was by accident or on purpose judged by the reaction I had met when asking for a veggie option in the first place. Irish live music just about made me forget about this unfortunate event… but I wouldn’t blame any fellow vegetarians that would have been absolutely shocked and left altogether!

I wish I'd never been into this pub.

My friend ordered a pint of Doombar, which had clearly turned - it smelled sour and tasted of vinegar. We asked twice if they would switch it out for another ale, and the manager refused to do so. They claimed that was how the pint should taste, which was either completely misguided or an out-and-out lie.

The building itself is beautiful and the Thai restaurant downstairs was very nice, but the manager of the pub really let the whole place down.

Lively pub with reasonably priced drinks.

A group of us came here for a few drinks on a Friday night, I arrived wearing a Victorian outfit, as I’d been to an immersive experience earlier in the day and couldn’t be bothered to get changed! I noticed a few reviewers have made negative comments about the doorman, but I was warmly welcomed. I did receive a few odd looks from other customers, but also a lot of compliments.

We had a lovely time here, but I’ve marked them down for the £10 limit on card payments. We are an increasingly cashless society and being penalised because of card charges incurred by their provider is unfair. Or is the minimum payment in place to encourage people to spend more..?

Despite this I would come back - maybe in a different costume!
