Spoons is Spoons....
That said , staff were really friendly, quick service with a smile. Even kicking out time the guy was all smiles.
Let down with the sticky table, the smell as well as the fact they don't sell draft Heineken or Kronenburg here.

Food was actually pretty good no thrills 3 for £12 but tasted decent.

The spoons app is of course a bonus and the service from that was also very quick. Arguably the cheapest pub in the UK.

Visited 9/10/22 & had chicken breast in batter served with sticky soy sauce, coleslaw & a choice of spicy rice or chips, all of which was served quite soon after ordering. Truly enjoyed it & highly recommend.
Visited 23/04/22 for a drink with family member. Bar assistant really friendly. Found table easily despite being quite busy. Paid tapping card on device. (Pub has an upper level towards rear with several booths for family/friend groups, along with doors leading to a beer garden; outside seating also available at front of pub. Toilets also on upper level on right-hand side. Hot & cold snacks & meals available. Part of Weatherspoons group.

Four stars: A really home-y feel inside with a variety of seating options both indoor and outside. Staff really friendly too!

Only four stars: The place is so popular that tables are slightly sticky, some menus have bits of food in them, and table service is slow when ordering online.

It's a nice typical wetherspoons. Popular with everyone. Regulars. Office peeps. Workers from the town. Me 😁. Super cheap cup of refillable al hot drinks. Amongst many other goodies. Handy place for affordable meals and snacks. The menu is enormous. Breakfast menu is amazing. Lunch and evening meals also excellent value for money.Plenty of healthy choices and some more indulgent dishes to enjoy. The choices of drinks is gigantic!!🥳❤definitely something for everyone.

Great place to stop at to meet up with friends and family or to just relax and refresh yourself after a long journey. There's a range of food and drink at reasonable prices and at least the toilets aren't up a long flight of stairs like most Wetherspoons chains. A plus!

This place hasn't changed a bit in 20+ years, the original beer soaked sticky floors bring flashbacks to my drunken youthfulness. The single seated tables are home to the drink alone middle aged/old men. Yet the Boothe's and seated area up and down the steps are where the normals will be found trying to enjoy a night out on a budget with surprisingly good food choice. But as a whole this pub actually is my go to pub and no one can argue with a cheap beer when everyone else seems hell bent on charging £7 a pint. Give it a go you might be surprised.

Busy Saturday lunchtime. I guess with rugby on TV not surprising. Decent beers and service and £2.57 for a beer. Good pre-match location.

During the lunch hours we were a family of 4. We had to wait for a free table, the place was very busy. We ordered food however when it came it was cold and horrible. The kids couldn't eat it. I did as I can push down anything when I'm hangry.
It was a shame as I normally like the moon.
