The Railway Hotel

Visited the newly refurbished Railway this evening for dinner. Haven’t been here for a good few years. What a lovely atmosphere. They have made great use of the function room by opening it out and adding more dining tables. There are new doors to close off the room for any private functions too. The food was amazingly cooked and hot when it came to our table. There was a slight delay due to it being busy however Matt the GM came to our table to apologise for the wait (which wasn’t that long). I highly recommend checking this place out of you haven’t already and grabbing some food. Thank you to Matt, Josie, Tanya, Kyle and the rest of the team on tonight for making our first visit in a while feel like we were regulars.

Just been to the newly refurbished railway looks fab, was very busy too. Had the roast which was really lovely. Had a nice chat with new manager Matt. Couple of little issues that were dealt with professionally by Matt, much appreciated!

Visited on a Saturday evening, the food was served quickly and was very nice. A few things, when we asked for a second set of cutlery having had a started, the reply was more!
It was very busy and the poor waitress was running between tables.

Went in for food with the family to check out the refurb. Burgers were good, staff were quick, prices were reasonable. Pub looks nice. Nothing to complain about! Will definitely be back.

Lovely place, very accommodating host, couldn’t do enough for us.
Spotlessly clean, room on the smallish side but perfectly adequate, lovely bathroom.

We stayed for a few days in this Hotel, the staff very friendly and professional. Hotel aged but renovated, clean and without any problems. We used the hotel restaurant. The dishes tasty and very quickly and efficiently served, even though there were a lot of people. We took advantage of the offer to combine dishes which was very cost effective. It is also a traditional pub with a very large selection of delicious beer. We also took advantage of the breakfasts, I recommend the waffles were delicious. Overall, I recommend the hotel as well as the restaurant.

Booked Sunday lunch...( our oven is broken)...Friendly staff...pub appears to have been refurbished in past 12 months...and enjoyed a relatively good experience.
Drinks fine...food fine .. however despite booking a desert...needed to remind staff..
more than 30 mins after finishing our lunch.!
Happy to use again...but suggest a little more attention to outstanding orders .

Absolutely perfect. 4 of us attended New Year’s Eve They nailed it. Not packed out but busy. All had tables and seats. Loads of bar staff. Good buffet. Great atmosphere. Can highly recommend. We will be going back New Year’s Eve 2023
