Nice pub, suits the local clientele nicely. There's plenty going on throughout the week with quizzes, darts & comedy amongst the offerings. Not always the best drink selection, but works for most. There's also a huge courtyard outside with loads of tables. Strictly over 18s policy.

Personally i think Lauren gave a truly exceptional service, one I feel has been unmatched by any other bartender prior. I have never felt so welcomed by a member of staff before; not only this but she was efficient and gave me exceptional service throughout the night. What an amazing member of staff you have as part of your team

I had travelled back from Chelmsford after meeting a few mates, and as the goose was opposite the station, thought I would go in for a quick pint. Bit of a queue at the bar, but once served, and betting a table, the atmosphere was good.

Last night my friend and I went to the Goose pub to have a quiet drink. I entered first. A female member of staff came up to me and asked where my wristband was. I was confused. She said that it was £5 to come in and watch the football. I was about to explain that we didn't want to watch football and just have a drink. Before I had a chance to do this a bouncer came up to me and literally man-handled me out of the pub. I have just seen that several people have complained about the bad attitude and behaviour of this pub's bouncers. It appears that the management have not learned their lesson and done anything to make much needed changes. My friend and I shall NOT return there and will also advise all our friends to avoid this place.

A review for Daniel the bouncer!! (With the beard😅) He is a credit to the pub itself, so welcoming and helpful every single time I’ve visited. He is always professional in all situations and makes the goose a safe environment to enjoy a drink! Deserves some recognition in my eyes

Great service from everybody here, from the doormen to the bar staff to the management. Not one single complaint. The service was impeccable and timely, the staff were friendly and understanding. I will be coming back here more often.
