Lovely little pub down the road from a great campsite, barnfarm.
The staff here are very helpful (thanks Josh), although they were very busy they managed to fit us in and get us two fantastic meals out.
I had the trio of pork, three little pigs. The food was amazing, in fact really high standard, was not expecting it from a small local pub. Katie had the warm pork pie which was "yummy".
Would definitely go back, would advise others to book in advance.

A favourite! Fabulous selection of beers. Many brewed onsite. Nice hot home cooked food using fresh locally sourced ingredients. Regularly changing menu. Great Friday night atmosphere. Mixed clientele. Locals and visitors from afar. Enjoyable and value for money. 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was staying locally at the Barn Farm campsite, and luckily managed to book a table for Sunday, just a few days before we arrived.
A lovely family run pub who made us feel welcome and served some incredible food. Even accommodating an over tired 6 year old who just wanted some mash potato. Tried a few pints of their own beer which is brewed on site along with their own blue cheese which we had in a dipping starter! Delicious! . Even got sent away with a fresh baked loaf of bread! A great pub with everything you want and more!
Will definitely be returning!

Visit last night was very quiet with two other couples eating. Not a large menu but a good selection of pub favourites at a reasonable price. We went for a very tasty lambs liver, mustard mash and seasonal veg with gravy. Followed by sticky toffee pudding and homemade Bakewell tart with custard. They also brew their own beer on site and they allowed you to have a taster, settled on two pints of Bircher best.
Best to book as during the summer both local pubs are well supported by locals and many tourists. Well recommended.

Credit where credit is due. Among the best meals we have had in a Derbyshire pub, indisputably the most imaginative menu and at a v reasonable price. With great beer and very friendly and helpful staff. Faultless stuff guys. Thank you.

What an amazing little gem in the heart of Derbyshire. The service was good and offers locally brewed beers and as a non beer lover I would say it is worth the try to see of you like it (ask var staff for a sample).

I have attached some pictures of this beautiful setting. Book a table or get walk in service and has card pavement facilities.

Family friendly, walker friendly and dog friendly. Perfect for a local walk and retreat to here on return.
