Argyle on tour!! We walked the river Cam tow path and beautiful it was too. The only problem is all the crazy cyclists coming at you from all angles!! Finally made it to pub and had Steak and chips, Burger and chips and a Jalfrezi curry. All very nice. Good service. Its very big with an upstairs area where we were. Disappointed with no Ruddles or a real ale alternative. Had a pale ale which was average...

The meal we ordered came on nicely warmed plates the food was hot and tasty served by a pleasant young lady with a lovely smile. We thought the deal we had of mains with an alcoholic beverage was very reasonably priced. It was extremely busy and the bar was a little slow but worth the wait despite not many staff when we did get served it was efficient and friendly. Our first visit to Cambridge on a retirees outing the Regal was a pleasant place from the heat of the day clean and tidy Would definately eat here again.

All in all I really think you are unable to beat Spoons for excellent value.
The staff were helpful and cheerful, my curry was great and wife’s scampi was good , sadly was disappointed when our pancake orders were cancelled after order accepted as non available.
I normally would have given 5 stars but our table and chairs were a bit grubby.
An excellent Curry , fine scampi and chips, glass Chardonnay and a pint of Adams for 20 quid well…,, actually I am going to change stars back to 5

A cogent reminder that there is a hot meal to be had, a refillable drink, a place in the centre of town to sit for a few hours, for under £10. Good service, loads seating and plenty of choice. It’s not the Ritz-Carlton, but it’s dependable, good value and friendly.

Lovely evening. Pitchers at 4pm were fantastic,at the start 1 full Glass full each with 2 ice cubes each. 8pm. There was more ice that drink to half a glass of cocktail the rest ice. The pitchers changed that much. When the drinks were poured our the whole pitcher was full to the brim of ice without the sharing cocktails in.
Food was OK, the burgers didn't fill up our group but the bbq chicken melt was lovely for myself. Shots were reasonably priced. Just a shame about the measures of cocktail at the start of the night compared to the end. .
