This is a real local pub. Wonderful atmosphere on any day of the week, but especially on weekends and in particular on a Sunday lunchtime. Big garden out the back which catches the Summer Sun. What can be better than sitting in a Beer Garden on a Sunny English afternoon drinking great beer and shooting the breeze. I love it and my dog loves it to. I am presently working abroad, but looking forward to the day when I go back for a glorious pint in a type of pub that seems to becoming, sadly, a rarity in England.

Beautiful old pub with a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Pam the landlady is lovely and always provides quick service with a smile. If you ever get the chance to eat there then do. The food is wonderful and there's so much of it.

Cannot recommend this place enough

It is a proper pub! If you want food and a family experience, you'll have to go elsewhere!
If you're looking for great beer, no Wi-Fi, great conversation and a unique form of customer service that will keep you coming back for more! A proper local!!

Pam said it was a friendly pub with good beer at an excellent price.
Actually it is a very good pub which sells Brew Dog beer, excellent.😋

Friendly local with delicious cheese & biscuits to nibble at the bar! Situated in an historic street of Steyning with the old grammar school nearby & Norman church of St Andrews 😊

Lovely old fashioned free house. Customers and staff very friendly. Been told the christmas decorations are a must see.

This pub sells a variety of beers at reasonable prices. I particularly enjoyed both of the real ales on offer. It has a beer garden with sufficient room to have choice of seating. It has restricted opening hours, so check before you visit. For me, this venue is ideal for those people who like traditional pubs not often seen today. I look forward to making return visits.
