Food really mean £13 for a burger that was small with about 15 chips. I asked if portion was standard size and I got a grunt in response. Waiter could have just given some more chips. Staff were generally rude and not welcoming. If your business is hospitality be friendly and make punters feel welcome....Amsterdam opposite is a much better option.

I booked a table for 4 people for 4pm today, Sunday. We had to chase staff for our food once we’d ordered, it wasn’t that busy. Food was served to 3 of my party of 4, 55 minutes after ordering. We had to wait a further 15/20mins for the 4th meal to be served. By that time, the 3 who had chicken satay realised it wasn’t cooked and stopped eating and it was a starter. We were lead to believe from the Specials board it was a main meal as it didn’t say ‘starter’. My friend whose burger finally turned up said he wouldn’t eat it as we’d all stopped eating! It’s the first time we’ve eaten here since it changed hands. It will be the last time we eat here. What an absolute shame. Disappointed of Shoreham.

Im given a 3star
Food fab quick good price nice portion sizes.
Had Ploughmans & crayfish popcorn yum.
Beer good & spirts.
My only problem was quite cold and i would really like to have been offered a plate as we were sharing.
Would be good if the servers came back to ask if food was okay & you enjoyed
Yet nothing, maybe as young staff ???

Lovely pub, the re-furb really makes the most of all of the rooms and the chef is fantastic. Great setting in any season. Staff are welcoming and friendly. 5 stars!

Small but cozy pub. The staff is mainly friendly and bubbly.

The food tastes Great, specially their Sunday roast. Their pasta portions is well larger than the average (serves 2 if you order some nibbles), but still tastes good.

If you want a table inside, it’s better to book in advance. Specially for the table next to the log fire place.

Having a pint when watching the sunset over the river it’s also great from there, despite there is a main road (A283) in front of the pub. There is also a garden on the back with some wooden tables/chairs. There is also road side parking on the back

Not the best wheelchair accessibility.

Excellent service, the Sunday roast was exceptional, roast beef cooked to perfection as was the abundance of vegetables and roasties, the best roast dinner ever, there is no room for improvement, absolutely perfect, would definitely recommend the Red Lion as one of the best places to eat, compliments to the chef 👏👏👏😊

Helpful staff reasonable prices on meals. Fairly busy on Wednesday evening in November. Good atmosphere.

Had a lovely lunch here. It has been improved a lot and is less cramped inside now. The food was very generous and at a great price I felt
