The pub is almost 300 years old and was on the site before the houses were built in the nearby narrow streets ..used to be called the Black Tar Public house - Apparently haunted.

This seems like a neighborhood local pub that is very small and wasn't welcoming to out-of-towners at all. The bar keep wasn't helpful or interested in helping us at all. I would not recommend this establishment to non-locals - ever.

Love it here. Run by Chris & Tammy. Lots of laughs. Drinks are wide and varied. Clean as a whistle. Great old style pub. 5*****
