Great pub, good atmosphere, busy with locals and visitors alike. Nice to see people enjoying their evening while their dogs were sleeping under the tables.
Stayed a couple of nights, good breakfasts, free parking and WiFi. Only left off one star as the room was a bit shabby, but very clean.
Would come again, but in a different room.

Wedding weekend at the Red Lion Inn

I would like to publicly thank the red lion team, consisting of Harpal, Tracey,Lynne, carol, Alan and Steve for a wonderful weekend. We stayed as a family 0f 12 for 4 nights at the Red Lion whilst attending a wedding at Willow Grange farm.
We cannot fault the hospitality, being accommodating to our changing needs during this time. The food was beautiful cooked, plentiful and our needs were cheerfully attended to, even opening the kitchen after a busy fathers day lunch.
Rooms were clean, showers excellent, nice comfy beds and fresh towels. the village is very beautiful a with quaint English country friendliness.
Thank you for the laughs, ,memories and attention during out stay.

Super pub with Allan, Robin and Harps who was great and looked after us very well at breakfast. We did have a bar snack of scampi and chips and they were delicious and hot. The rooms were great, comfortable and just right for our game at Ely Golf Club the following morning. Would definitely come back. Well done guys.

We came across this pub whilst house hunting on Saturday 3rd September. We stopped for lunch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had the sausage and chips in a basket. The food was very hot and very nice. It was a huge portion of chips which I couldn't finish. Would definitely recommend, really nice pub.

Good beer. Friendly staff. Patrons sociable. Good place to spend some time. Hearsay: people who have meals here told us it was good food.

The Christmas lunch menu was pretty awful, incredibly overpriced for what it was. We were kept waiting for half an hour despite arriving promptly for our booking, the food was lukewarm when it arrived.
Very disappointing quality of food.
The "Christmas pudding" was a tiny pat of dessert surrounded by congealed custard.
Not good value by any means.
The only fresh part of the meal was the brussel sprouts.

Great convenient location. The room was OK and the beds comfortable. The en suite was however small and not very clean. The shower glass only goes to half way so the tile floor gets wet whilst you wash.

The worst thing is the unlit path along the front which I have fallen off and rolled my ankle in the pitch black. If I wasn't visiting from overseas I would sue. Pure negligence and the owners don't seem to care. Doesn't qualify for price we paid.
