I stayed here several nights whilst my mum was in Princess Alice hospice (which is easy to get to via bus or walking).
The landlord, lady (and rest of staff) were really nice and helpful. Rooms are basic but clean, functional and very good value for money in this area. Food (evening meal included in room rate whilst I was there) was also really good.

Rooms are cosy actual owners is a nosey parker who needs to learn to not interfere. Twice he gave his opinion and advised that we stayed in his pub instead of going out, he wanted to know where we were going. Also tried to charge us again for our stay, no security so anyone can go upstairs and walls are paper thin. Avoid at all costs if you want to have a nice break away.

Could of been a nice little pub
They have live bands and a little area to sit outside and its next to a massive green area
Nice in summer ,the problem is getting served the locals sit around the bar shouting out " pint of usell" and push into the cue and just as your about to get served the next bar bum will scream out for a pint
I went to watch the bands and ended up not drinking after 3 attempts to get served
Avoid unless you want to go thirsty

Had a lovely 2 days stay at the Watermans Arms to enable us to spend a whole day at the Hampton court flower show with no major traveling on the day, just a cheap Uber each way. Accommodation was a nice, clean double room with ensuite and tea/coffee in room. The landlord Tony was a very nice helpful and accomodating guy who cooked us a lovely meal each evening at a very good price.

It was a good local pub, you're everyday kind of people on a Saturday night.

Beer was decent 1664

Improving under new management and handy location, but needs food options, wider beer selection and refurbishment to really compete against the other local pubs.
