Great place. Their open mics are well run, welcoming and friendly even if you’re from the other side of the planet. Drinks are reasonably priced and there’s a good selection. I also really like the set up of the place. The booth seating is comfy and cozy. It’s a great place to get to know the fun and friendly folk of Lancaster.

This was a classic pub to go for a drink at, one of the ancient Ye inns across the UK! The music playing really boosted the atmosphere and the drinks were laid out well at the counter, where I was served by a friendly staff member. I had a quality Dead Fingers passion fruit drink with a Pepsi mix, a rarity that was quality and cleanliness was maintained entirely!

Cracking old fashioned pub with a modern edge. Live music. Went with a stag do of 20 odd lads. They had every right to ask us to leave when they all got a bit rowdy but the whole group was looked after and made welcome. Brilliant doorman who handled every one well with firm yet friendly respect. Friendly locals, a really good mix of people

The best pub in Lancaster. Always have the best local live bands playing. I can go in there by myself or with friends and it's a comfortable friendly environment.

We've been to Lancaster loads throughout our life & never been in here. It is a brilliant pub, we said we should have been in before. There was a live band on & the atmosphere was great. Worth a visit

Excellent pub! Great bartenders! And superb music! We were lucky enough to walk by the pub and we heard live music being played! That's it, and we walked in straight! Amazing ambience and atmosphere! The band playing the music was superb, but there was a German mouth organ player joined em later! That German dude was just wow!

What an amazing locale! Real ales… lagers… huge selection of shorts… gins, rums and whiskeys… the ambience when you walk in is breath taking… it’s like walking into a time capsule, photos on the walls of everyone that’s ever played a gig… rare whiskeys on display in locked cabinets… a place you can sit… drink and admire!
The staff I met were full of knowledge and customer service skills were above and beyond the norm. I had a dark ale… yet got to taste all on offer… perfect bar staff…
This pub is geared around music… not head banging stuff or genres difficult to absorb whilst chilling with a real ale, short or other tipple… live music all weekend from all generations…
