The Chequers Inn, Aylesford

Great location, right next to the river. Busy place so obviously very popular with locals and passing tourists, and we weren't dissapointed ! 7 of us had a really lovely meals on Saturday afternoon sitting outside by the river.

- Poor delivery - didn't receive box on the day it was supposed to arrive
- Poor food packaging - sauces leaked everywhere, tonnes of plastic
- Poor customer service - meals that came were different from what we were told we would get
- Poor food quality - food has some kind of stench (even including the broccoli), but especially the fish and meat. Doesn't feel fresh

Great pub to come with friends or family. Spacious restaurant area with the alternative of sitting outside overlooking the River. Historic building with lots of character. Could be better maintained in places and could be kept cleaner. Really helpful staff and very tasty food. Would definitely recommend. Came here today for the Alesford Festival. Looking forward to next year's one! 🍻

This place has a really nice outdoor area overlooking the river and a beautiful bridge. I didn’t really like the inside, it seemed really tiny. Staff members were really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast food was delicious! The hot drinks were average, this can be improved!

Lovely place with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were all very nice and professional. Food was very good. Doesn't matter if it took ages, we just ordered extra drinks and chill by the river.

Enjoyed a 3 course meal out with my husband last night in what seemed an age since we were able to do that. Food was delicious, well presented, there was a lovely atmosphere and enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the river on a beautiful sunny day 👍🏻

Lovely place Fab tasty Pizza very friendly staff. The Pub is in the lovely village of Aylesford. During Lockdown This pub did so much for the local community, we will be going back there again possibly this week

Absolutely disgusting. Spent £30 on a roast dinner delivery for 2, everything turned up looking anaemic. My partner went for roast chicken and I had the nut roast. I have no idea what arrived, because it was not a nut roast. Literally looked like a slab of dog food. The chicken looked barely cooked and the pigs in blankets looked raw - the pictures don't even do it justice...

Everything went in the bin. I Contacted them with pictures to provide an opportunity for them to resolve the situation and they're ignoring my messages. Such a shame because I have heard good things about them. Awful for the price, avoid!
