The Strickland Arms

A lovely evening spent here. Fair prices for both food and drink. Very friendly staff. We were camping nearby, absolutely raining so hard the barman offered us a lift back to the site. Thank you so much for the hospitality. When I'm in the area again I'll definitely call in.

Staff friendly, drinks reasonable. Ales very nice. Was around £3.80 a pint or for 2 Half's (no difference which was good) outside nice with lots of shade. Will return another day.

Visted here again (last time Oct 2021) and the food was just as awesome as last time.
Had the pie and mash and helped down with a local ale.

Good honest pub grub - extensive menu. Good beer. Also has rooms.

Loved the shepards hut and breakfast was fantastic.... friendly staff very accomodating, in a very nice place with things to visit in the area, would happily go back for another visit....

Needed a dog friendly stop on a Scottish trip - pleased to have found the Strickland. Very friendly staff - nice food and breakfast. Room was large and ok, it’s an old building so has some ‘quirks’!

Warm welcome and above and beyond! I thought I was going to arrive at 8:30pm but due to weather and other issues it was just after 10pm. I had called to let them know and see if I could get food and they did! Thank you so much for looking after me I really appreciate it!
