The Swan

We called in this charming pub for dinner and a drink one evening during our stay in New forest. And we were very pleased with our choice. The look and the quality of the food being delivered to the table around us and the choice in the menu made it difficult for us to order. My husband had steak and I picked the chicken pie, great choices as everything was cooked to order, served hot and delivered with a smile. We topped it off with an amazing chocolate brownie.
Staff were friendly, polite and professional. Thanks for a great meal!

Lovely pub on the outskirts of Lyndhurst.
Lovely large well organised garden with lots of new tables.
Fish and chips were fresh and hot.
The steak was medium instead of well done. This didn't affect the meal and the chips, onions rings, vine tomatoes and peppercorn sauce were fantastic. Washed down with a lovely pint of cider and soda and lime.

We met some friends for Sunday lunch after not being to this pub for a number of years. The place had a really nice feel, the staff were welcoming and helpful. We had a little wait for our food but wow was it worth it. Myself and my husband had roast lamb our friends had the roast pork and Hunters chicken. It was delicious and beautifully cooked. A reasonable price as well. We will be back.

Great food. Lovely bar staff. Really nice warm atmosphere. We hadn't been for 4 years with lock down etc. So glad to be back there. Certainly go again!! Well done

We had always driven past this pub hundreds of times without going in until today. Why we have never be in before we do not know. The appearance is charming and country style. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. The drinks and food were both dealt with instantly and the meal arrived very quickly and was excellent. We will be going back regularly now.

We were greeted warmly by the lovely team member when we walked in and she was efficient and the service was brilliant. The steak I had was perfectly cooked, everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The set menu and children’s menu are such good value for money! Will definitely return and would definitely recommend!

Popped in here after a dog walk in the area. Dog beds available to use, which was a nice touch. Sad the fire wasn't on, although it was a weekday before school holidays. But it was a little cool so the atmosphere didn't feel cosy. A couple of beers on tap were out and there was only one lady serving, so assume that's why they hadn't been replaced. We both had pies and they came out quickly and were nice and hot, just what we wanted. Overall nice, will have to return when the fire is on!

Had a lovely meal for lunch today with some friends. Rachael & Libby were great hosts, helpful with our picky eaters and allergies. I had the beef pie which was fantastic, only negative was that there wasn’t much mash with the pie. Will definitely be back soon!
