The red lion is a good pub situated around the New forest. I popped in with a friend after some work on a farm to have some lunch. The lunch menu was very reasonably priced given the of the pub. I had a sausage and fried onion Baguette with chips which Costa fair £10.

Being a brewery pub they had forty niner on tap and ringwood best better.

I wouldn't make a special trip out there from Bournemouth but wouldn't have any issue stopping in if in the area.

I came here for a light lunch with my wife and my cousin. I've eaten in pubs bars and restaurants for 40 years. We received the most affable and open welcome from the very charming staff I've ever seen. It made a real difference to the day.Lovely garden on a sunny day which was a bit like Crufts with a dog under most tables! Thank you very much!!!

Really tasty food. It’s more expensive than normal pubs but totally worth it. Staff are super friendly too! Really accommodating for pets and small children too.

We visited the Red Lion yesterday whilst on holiday nearby. We were super impressed. The atmosphere was really nice and the pub itself was very cozy. Staff were welcoming. The menu had a great selection. Our started were delicious and Our dinners once they arrived looked amazing and tasted even better than they looked. Thank you 😊

A very nice pub where the Sunday lunch is very good indeed. Small and intimate seating areas where you can have a private conversation. Service very good. Value for money good. Food well presented, good and tasty.
Toilets a little old fashioned and in need of an upgrade.
A place to go back to. A very good experience.

Stayed in the new forest for our holiday and went to the Red Lion both for a lunch and evening meal. Very impressed both times. I had steak and it was extremely well cooked, my husband had the steak and ale pie he thoroughly enjoyed it. Will certainly go back if in the area.

Came for a lunch with my family and had a really great meal.

The atmosphere was fantastic; small, local country pub with lovely decor and 2 warm fires. Great food - I had a simple fish and chips, but the fish tasted really fresh with a crispy, light batter, excellent triple cooked chips and one of the best tartare sauces I’ve ever had.

Friendly, welcoming staff made the experience even better.

Myself and my family celebrated Christmas and my husbands birthday at the Red Lion yesterday. The service, food and staff were all excellent. We enjoyed various meals from the vegan to the traditional Christmas dinner and all were delicious. So grateful to the staff for giving up their own Christmas Day to make ours so special.
