Really like it here, decor was amazing and so was the food. Did wait a bit for the food to come out however, the owner or manager came out and checked on us to tell us our food is now on its wait. For me, that’s really good that he knew what was going on. Top marks for that, will definitely be back.

I have been twice in the last couple of months. Although I have lived near the pub for 30 years it is just recently that I have called in, I wish I had done it sooner as the food is on top form. The first time was with my family & they all enjoyed their food. The second time was with a friend, she enjoyed it so much that she is planning to take her son & family there for his birthday at the end of this month. Making it my regular place for eating out now.

Appalling visit today, a stupidly long wait, having ordered on the app and most of our party receiving their order I asked about waiting time at which point I was informed it would be over an hour and that if I'd ordered drinks on the app I'd have been told (this was by the manager after 45 minutes) and that if I didn't like it I could cancel my order and go somewhere else. I had 2 children with me so this wasn't an option. The manager was rude and we ended up receiving our food after about 1hr 20 mins, our friends by this point had all eaten and were ready to leave.
Will not be making a return visit, wasn't happy about the wait, however, had the manager been apologetic and polite I'd have seen it as a shame and given them another try, but no apology and rude. Hope his day improves as I'm sure it was a bad day all round.

I really don't like giving negative reviews but feel I have no choice here. The staff were friendly and attentive but unfortunately that was the only positive. Visited for a family birthday meal, now I get this could've an off day, but. The menu looked really nice before visiting but upon trying to order lots of items were unavailable. My sister and mum ordered but were told maybe three times that items were unavailable. By the time they chose something that was available there was a 45 minute wait. This meant everyone else in the party had eaten before their food was brought to the table. There didn't seem to be an influx of people coming in and ordering to justify such a wait. One mean came out wrong and this was for a gluten intolerant person. Only afterwards did several people realise that many items advertised as being part of the meal ordered were missing altogether. As we entered the pub several meals were being delivered to other tables and the plate sizes seemed very generous. When ours came they were much smaller. Maybe due to party size, maybe due to running low on stuff. Who knows. Puddings ordered were nice but again, many first choices were unavailable. We did say we'd like to go there for a meal on our own when we first got there. Unfortunately our minds have changed. Sorry for the negative review but I can only comment on our experiences.

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at The Festival Inn for making my Daughters Baby Shower today, so easy. From day one, nothing had been to much trouble. The buffet food was excellent. Everyone mentioned how good the food was. Great room, great food, great staff. Highly recommend 👌. Many thanks

Very disappointed!!
Service for food was extremely slow. When we asked where the food was, the staff apologised, and initially offered us a free drink....but then the food turned up soon afterwards, they changed they mind and rescinded the offer, even though we'd waited nearly an hour.
To compound matters, the food was only like warm when it arrived.

Whilst the delay was poor, the offer of drinks would have appeased our party, but to then not deliver it having agreed to provide isn't was simply appalling.
Whilst the menu was different, the customer service means we won't unfortunately be rushing back.

We used the larger of the two function rooms for our athletics clubs awards evening earlier this month and compared to other venues, it was great value for money. The room was of a good size, well set out, with plenty of seating/tables, a large well stocked bar, stage, DJ booth and a big dance floor. The hot/cold buffet offering was varied and tasty, with plenty of options for all, including those with dietary requirements. All in all it was a great evening and based on our experience, I would definitely recommend using the Festival Inn and their functions rooms.
