What a gorgeous village pub, so homely and full of character and charm, loved the feature in the ladies toilet too. The dining area and courtyard is very smart. Dog friendly, great food and a friendly welcome. There is accommodation available too.

Lunch menu was a bit sparse for vegans so the new chef made us a Bangkok burger. It was lovely. Chips were well cooked too!
Ladies was clean with hand cream .

Wow, what a hidden gem! Beautiful pub, great little walled beer garden out the back, lovely rear extension provides a bright, airy dining area you wouldn't expect from the outside. Lovely friendly staff and great food. Take the family!

This village pub is a surprise. The small and rather dark bar is a prelude to the nicely spacious and bright, modern dining room, with full-length engraved glass windows opening on to a pretty courtyard. I was surprised by how busy it was on a Monday evening. The menu was interesting and, by the looks of it, good value.

A table of four of us were happy with the food without being ecstatic. The addition of a side salad or something in the way of veg. would have helped. My chicken with rice and bbq sauce did have cauliflower and broccoli mixed in, and was nice but I was surprised there was not more flavour. The desserts were great.

But......there was a very long and unexplained wait for the main course. Two of us had starters so we were OK, but the other two really did begin to fade!! I guess it was a momentary blip. The other problem, for four older people, was difficulty of hearing when the restaurant got busy....a design issue. Its all hard surfaces, nothing at all in the furnishings to absorb sound.

If this sounds too critical, it is because we really liked most of what we saw, and were glad to have visited....and, as relatively local residents, will definitely return.

Deceptively small from the outside but a great size indoors with little snugs with an excellent, bright&modern dining room to the rear. Sunny&sheltered beer garden with lovely, modern accomodation surrounding. Light lunch was fresh and so tasty. Service was excellent. All staff very friendly. An old well in the ladies loo was a surprise😆.

An amazing lunch. We both had Cambert to start, followed by roast beef main then rhubarb tart to finish. The food surpassed expections. Fantastic staff. Thank you all so much.

We booked a table at the Masons Arms for our evening meal. We were staying in Norham as part of a multi-day cycling tour and were suitably ravenous. Linda was easy to deal with by email and it was not a problem for her to move our booking when I realised we were running late. We were made very welcome by the confident and competent barman, before being shown through to the restaurant extension, which was impressively light and spacious. Again, the service was excellent, as were the chips! We retired to the bar and were made to feel welcome by the locals, which is not always the case in rural pubs. Will definitely visit again if I'm in the area

Came across by chance. Lovely village pub with various fishing history on the walls. Friendly staff and the ladies toilet makes you stop in your tracks as you walk in-bones make you laugh! Had panine and a toastie to fill a wee gap. Would recommend a drop in here
