The Gardeners Arms Pub & Restaurant, Ardingly

An excellent, proper English pub. The interior is a classic pub style and the food and drinks are exactly what you would want and expect from a pub.

It wasn't busy when we visited. We found the staff to friendly and the food was okay but the drinks order took far too long to arrive.

Needed food n drink stop after going to Sheffield pk & wakehurst place. Badgers beer was good plus both had steak frites which hit the spot. Was a quick stop but inside looked a cosy winter time pub. Food came out quick

Nice friendly pub. Plenty of car parking, and different seating areas.

Enjoyed a large portion of sunday roast. The potato and leak soup was also enjoyable.
Wide variety of wines and draft beers. Yorkshire pudding did appear to be home made.

Went for lunch on a Saturday and the food and service were good. Nice vibe and lots of parking.
Went again this Thursday for an evening drink and was asked for last orders before 9pm and to leave at 9.20pm! Very strange and disappointing as I was meeting a friend and hoping for a good catch up. Not really fair if the opening time advertised is 11pm....
Make of that what you will.

Came here Friday night for a last minute meal with partner and baby. The team were super accommodating and helpful, with one lovely chap even going out of his way to fix our table which he noticed was slightly wonky!
Food was quick and really worth it, DELISH!

Popped in for a light bite after an event at the South of England Event Centre across the road and we both ended up having the Sunday roast. Delicious and generous, great to have the option of extra Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Good quality, reasonably priced, friendly staff.
