Trying lots of different pubs in the area for food and this one has been the best so far! Amazing Sunday roast trolley with chef carving meat at your table and options for vegans/ vegetarians too. Really great experience and service was AMAZING!

Amazing local pub. Beautiful cosy atmosphere. Awesome food, with owners and staff who really care about the quality of thier menu. Everything fresh and made on-site! Great staff, and fab chats with the locals! We will be back. I heard the Sunday roast is fantastic!

We visited this delightful traditional pub for lunch yesterday after being recommended by a friend. It's so nice to find a proper pub these days. The sunday lunch was fantastic, the best we've had in ages! A selection of meats carved at your table by the landlord, fantastic roast beef accompanied by a lovely selection of veg, Yorkshire pudding, homemade horseradish and delicious gravy. Highly recommended *****

My mum and shared a top-notch Sunday roast at the Royal Oak today. I don't leave reviews often but the roast, atmosphere and service were the best we've had in a long time. Really made our day! Huge thanks and well done to the team.

Lovely old pub, an open fire and a wood burner to warm up by in the winter and great food.

We visited the Royal Oak to watch a 6 nations rugby game when visiting the area for wedding viewings and this pub was a superb find! As soon as we walked in it was clear it was the pub of a rugby enthusiast with lots of fantastic signed photos and shirts of players from various teams and eras. The pub itself was very traditional and cosy, but extremely clean and well presented. The landlady was so friendly and accommodating and so to was the chef who we presume was the landlord. Both were also very welcoming to our dog with the owners and pub very dog friendly. We did not have a main meal but the food looked fantastic with lots of options and as vegetarians, it was good to see so many different options here too. We did try a portion of the foul chips from the 6 nations menu and they were incredible! A few pints by the fire watching the game was an afternoon well spent. It was a pleasure to visit and we would definitely visit again if in the area.
