A good real ale pub with a BBQ in the garden which they use every so often, so worth keeping an eye out on Facebook for any events!

We visited for their ‘cider and sausage festival’ over the August bank holiday, with BBQ’d sausages including bratwurst (and 5 other sausage types/options). The bratwurst was great - as are the chips from the kitchen, and my partner enjoyed trying the range of ciders from local breweries/cideries.

The Languedoc-Roussillon Chardonnay I had however was quite nasty - not vinegary enough for it to be faulty, but very acidic, lacking in fruit flavours and I think just generally a poor choice of wine for the bar.

Friendly pub, good ales and selection of premium spirits. Nice courtyard garden and if you are a Rugby fan, the big matches are always on!

Great pub and amazing choice of ale. Dog friendly but always packed hence only 4 stars. If you don't mind not being able to get to the bar then consider this 5 stars.
