The Green Man is just a great pub, that serves great food with a great atmosphere. You literally can't go wrong!

*Update* August 22. New owners are in and it's good to know that The Green Man is still as good as it ever was. The food is still great albeit the menu has changed slightly (No more ribs on offer for mains), and all the offerings are available if you ask.
We enjoyed an evening meal, and one of the group had an item for dinner, which should only have been available for lunch, which was the Caesar salad. The team were happy to make that for an evening meal, with no fuss.
Atmosphere is brilliant. So good to see a country pub thriving.
If the service is a little slow......don't shout at them. A few people were getting annoyed, but c'mon guys.....it's to be expected at the moment. It's not the servers fault, so don't hassle them.
Just sit back and wait for the delicious offerings. I promise you, it's worth the wait.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Went for the Sunday roast and wasn’t disappointed. Somehow managed to save space for dessert (triple chocolate brownie). Make sure you book a few days to a week in advance as they don’t have a lot of tables. And tips need to be in cash.

Love this place. Been several times in the last few weeks, which speaks for itself. Outstanding food, particularly recommend the a la carte and specials menu. Desserts are also sublime. Everything is freshly prepared and cooked to order. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely be a regular returnee.

The meat was dumped on top of the veg on the Sunday Roast making everything soggy. This on top of a "Customer is always wrong" attitude from the management after a booking misunderstanding, (although our waiter was polite and friendly). We have frequented this pub for 20 years but will not be returning.

Fabulous food, really helpful, friendly staff, and lovely building inside and out! Thoroughly recommend and will definitely be back!

Went for our first visit last night . Booked an early table for 6.30 . Lovely friendly atmosphere, it felt really cosy inside with candles lit on every table . We both ordered the Ribeye steak which was full of flavour , tender and cooked to perfection, definitely one of the best steaks we’ve had in Lincoln for a while. Home cooked chips and onion rings were very nice too . Will definitely go back . The staff were lovely too .

We eat here regularly due to the quality and consistency of the food.
The fish and chips are hands down the best I have had.
Warm, friendly and the menu is exceptional for the price.

Came here with my partner for New Year’s lunch. Staff were very friendly, food was certainly good quality and the atmosphere very calm and tranquil. Pleasant experience all round :)
