Went for a Carvery with a friend. The food and service was excellent, even though it was a busy Saturday lunch time. Would recommend booking.

Was looking forward to coming here as I had heard good things. Sadly I was disappointed with my experience. First of all me and my partner tried to order different meals. Was told they had none left. This was only 7pm so not so late. We both settled for burgers and chips. Both of the burgers and chips were very greasy. The burger bun was not toasted so it got very soggy and impossible to pick up. The taste wasn't so bad but definitely not what we expected. Won't be coming back.

Friendly staff on the door. No explanation whether to order at table or on the app. As no-one followed up we used the app. Was easy to do, but had to ask if drinks would be brought to table or we had to collect. They do bring them. Ordered two carvery, one beef and one pork. Queue was fairly long but quick to be served. Portion was good for the price. Food was not hot enough only slightly warm. Tasted nice but definitely needed to be hotter. No-one checks if everything is okay. Probably wouldn't return as for a few pounds more could have table service and plated up by chefs who assess temperature.

What a lovely gem of a place.
Cheap and cheerful, the food is fab and the staff were very accommodating with our two young children.
Our waitress Laura was superb, very friendly and enthusiastic.
We will definitely be coming back, thanks! :)

We went on a Sunday, a standard carvery is £11.79 which is £4.0 more than any other day of the week. We ordered an adult size pizza, we had to question when it came that we ordered an adult size not a child size as the one that was served up was very small. We were told that it is adult size. The dining area was cold. The meat from the carvery was good but the potatoes, veg etc was only just warm and some was barely cooked. By the time we were finishing our meal, it was cold. The background music wasn't in the background. It was too loud and anything but relaxing. The man carving the meat was grumpy and bad tempered with us. Not a pleasant experience.
Thanks for your reply and offer. I'll come again and hopefully things will have improved. If not I simply won't bother any more. It's obviously very popular as it was quite full when I went. Hopefully I just caught it on an off day.

Our first cavery in what feels like years, it was so busy and it was a weekday evening, I wonder what a weekend is like. Only disappointment was that the app for ordering was down. We'll be back again!

Went tonight with a group of Brownies for pizzas. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient. The pizzas were lovely and the Brownies thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Throughout our visit the staff went out of their way to make sure that we had all that we needed and we were all fed promptly. Jack helped us with the ordering and paying to ensure that everything went smoothly. Well done all of you and thank you.

We brought a group of 19 (14 Brownies & 5 adults) for Pizza, Ice Cream and a drink.

We had a great night and the service was exceptional despite there being lots of people in the pub/restaurant.

Extra staff had been brought in to make sure all went smoothly.

We had someone with an allergy so the staff went out of their way to make sure that her pizza looked the same as everyone else's.

Mel & Jack seemed to mainly be looking after us and they did a grand job.

The pizzas were lovely & tasty and hot too.

After the Brownies had gone home the leaders stayed for a carvery. The carvery deck could have been hotter and better stocked but we were at the very end of the serving time.

We were able to sit and chat and chill out which was great.

For both parts of our night we were asked if everything was OK.

A special thank you to all the staff that were on duty and who looked after us so well.
