Cute and cosy, open fires, and a friendly welcome. Dog friendly too. Just the 2 ales on, kept OK. A little cold despite sitting directly in front of the fire, but it was a cold day.

Excellent country pub. Ignore the reviews claiming the food isn't good: it's not a gastropub, thank God! It's an unpretentious country pub with good beer and friendly staff. Long may it stay that way.

Went back today after a long time due to pandemic. Meal was excellent and as always the best home made chips I’ve ever tasted! Landlady lovely and Billy the dog a character. I’ve always loved this pub and it is always great to go back!

We had a superb time dancing here a few weeks ago (Ragged Oak Morris) - a lovely character pub with a wonderful ambience, friendly staff and delightful local patrons. We'd love to come again.

A lovely traditional country pub. Beautifully preserved. Lovely friendly staff. Good food and excellent beer. Can't wait to go back again.
