Top class food! The bacon and cheese burgers are the best I've ever had! And the onion rings were battered with the lightest crispiest batter it was awesome. And I highly recommend the raspberry sorbet it was incredible! Large portions too, reasonably priced. Overall fantastic!

Great location and good drinks selection but food is very overpriced and we received half-cooked chips. Adults are unable to get kid sized portions even though there is little difference in size, understaffed so there was a long wait for table service. Wouldn't go again.

Excellent location just on the River Wye. Nice view across the river to fields beyond. Food i.e Sunday roast was very nice, piping hot, very good portion sizes. Service was very good also and friendly from recently new owners. Nice outside terrace with plenty of seating and outdoor lighting for a lovely atmosphere.
Toilet facilities are very clean and pleasant.
I would recommend The Boat Inn to anyone as we had a lovely time....
Thank you to all the staff.

Lovely pub, lovely staff. Disappointed about vegetarian menu; just one option (Tuesday) ; a spicy bean burger, but it was disappointing; bland and boring. However, beer battered fish and chips was good and the lasagna excellent. Visited again later in the week for a cuppa tea with friends, but only one tea bag put in the pot for 3 people! Mean! But the venue is gorgeous 😍 just beside the river Wye ...

A great place for a stop over on a canoe adventure on the River Wye! We had a delicious meal and were very well looked after. There is also a landing stage and space in the garden to lock the boats up while we slept at the campsite across the road (The Pound). The beer was refreshing too!!

I went to The Boat Inn as a nice day out with my Grandma which we were both looking forward to. We arrived and found a table outside then were almost immediately asked if we wanted a lunch menu to which we said yes. No menu was given to us for about 5 minutes despite us asking 2 other people. When we were given our menu’s, we decided what we wanted and waited for at least 10 minutes to be served but ended up having to go inside to order after not being asked for our order even though 2 waitresses walked past us. We didn’t wait long for our food but when it came the chips weren’t properly cooked and the lasagna was only a pile of mince with a cheesy top- i was able to see 1 pasta sheet throughout the whole lasagna- not only this but it was also burnt on the sides. When it came to paying, i received the receipt and immediately noticed that it wasn’t correct. The food was correct but i noticed it said ‘1 latte, 1 americano’ when we ordered a 1-shot latte and water. I raised the issue to the staff after going back outside to double check and when speaking to the waitress who took our order she’s said we ordered ‘a latte with and extra shot’. This would’ve been seen as an easy misunderstanding but when it was emphasised that we only wanted a 1-shot latte (and no question was asked when taking the order) I couldn’t really excuse it. I was then refunded for the £2.90 that they decided to charge us for the [incorrect] extra shot of coffee. We were both severely disappointed with the outcome of our meal, the only redemption being the view of the river. Fair to say that neither of us will be returning. New waitresses need to be employed as well as a new chef!

Wow what great views.

Whilst visiting Dorstone we decided to visit the Boat Inn, what a great decision that was. The staff were extremely fry and helpful plus the views from our table were just amazing, look at my photographs.

My partner and I had lasagna with garlic bread, our meals were really nice. The garlic bread was extremely tasty and the lasagna itself was nice and meaty with plenty of flavour.

I highly recommend the Boat Inn to anybody visiting the area, we will gladly visit the Boat Inn again in the future...

Food was very nice, lovely warm fire and a view to die for as we tucked into Sunday lunch which they serve till 8pm!! Also joined in with the bingo evening. Lots of laughs and a thoroughly good evening. They even deliver locally on just eat. Seriously what is not to love? Try the boat inn, you won't be disappointed.
