I have to clarify that the food is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The staff are incredible like always! The carvery is brilliant. The manager always notifies us if there is a problem. For me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff are quite rude and all look like they hate their job.
Table was booked with high chair but one wasn’t available when we arrived and had to wait for someone to leave for one to be available. (Luckily we had one in the car so we used our own).
Carvery chef was rude and genuinely looks and acts like he hates his job and people.
Carvery selection is very limited for vegetables. No mash, no stuffing.
Vegetarian selection of meat free sausages and mushroom and broccoli pie were really good. Staff said they would advise us when this was ready but didn’t and we were left waiting for a while.
Meat eaters on our table said meat was terrible and tough. Beef looked like it had been sat there for days and was almost like leather.

Waited a long time at the bar to be served with nobody else waiting and a member of staff just drying some cutlery and watching me wait.
Only a very small pot of custard provided to go with our desserts.
The carvery was nice, meat was all very lean and a reasonable amount of meat provided. We loved the Yorkshire puddings. Although, the roast potatoes although they’d only just been brought out were very dry in the middle.

Very well done. Had amazing gammon steak with
pineapple, both perfectly seasoned and grilled. Service was brilliant and the young waitress ( short and blonde ) couldn't of done more to make our experience nice. Would recommend.

We booked a table for 12:30 we were 20 minutes earlier so thought we would have a drink before hand. We were greeted immediately by, and I am just guessing here by a newish member of staff, who was lovely. We were seated immediately which was lovely. We had the carvery which was sooo nice. My daughter and I have said that each monthly payday we are going to book a table and treat ourselves. Every member of staff was so friendly and I'm still shocked at the size of my yorkshire pudding!! It was the size of a small planet and tasted amazing!!

Came for lunch with my daughter and friend and firstly was great to see the staff had taken the time to decorate the pub for Halloween month it looked fantastic. Have been few times before and as always the staff gave us a warm welcome and were on hand straight away to take our order at the bar. Beer was clearly well looked over. Opted for the carvery which looked really fresh, smelt and tasted delicious. Ian who served us was really friendly and helpful. Overall great meal out and lovely well looked after and well run pub by the manager on today Mike. Nice to see the whole team on seemed to be enjoying their jobs and were proactive and happy.

So unbelievably disappointed with our recent visit here. I’ve been a couple of times previously and couldn’t fault it. Not sure if it’s new staff or what but it was an awful lunch experience. I don’t normally mind having to order and pay for food at the bar, however we ordered the nachos with pulled pork and chilli, and 5 minutes later were told they didn’t have any of those toppings for the nachos, so we never saw that £4.45 again as we’d already paid and weren’t told at the time of ordering. Then I’d ordered the Alfredo pasta, which states on the menu can be ordered as a “lighter” version which comes with extra salad instead of the garlic bread. When this was brought to the table it had garlic bread and a small side salad, we questioned this and the woman said they don’t do the lighter option on the weekends so you can only order the pasta dish with either garlic bread or chips….? I’ve never heard something so ridiculous 😅 they can’t add extra salad onto a plate on weekends? Hmm ok then. (Also doesn’t say anything about this on the menu). The garlic bread was soft and soggy, definitely microwaved and the salad was warm, wet and browned on the edges- didn’t seem like it was fresh from the fridge and completely unacceptable to be served in my opinion.
We will not be returning here. Such a shame as it was very nice on previous visits. Not sure how they can justify the prices they charge considering the standard of food that comes out.

We were greeted with a big smile and shown to our table. The starter I had was a fish dish which was lovely. Main was the carvery roast. Amazing food cooked perfectly. Crispy potatoes moist Turkey. Brussels sprouts were lovely. Dessert was Christmas pudding, wow what mouthwatering flavors and great taste, brandy sauce delicious and heavenly. The Staff were an extremely polite and friendly group. Thank you Dan and all the staff for making our Christmas meal so memorable and special!!! PS the crackers were a really nice touch to see no plastic and the wooden stars are on our tree now.
