The Kings Head Inn

Stayed for 1 night in a nice room out the back! Very smart place but the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. (- 1 star)

Food was pretty nice and staff mostly friendly. Breakfast was very well made with lots of options to choose from.

Generally would recommend staying here but it might not be quite be up to ‘Luxury’ standards!

I cannot fault The Kinds Head Inn. We stayed here for a couple of nights during a family visit. The lodges are well equipped and have a really nice feel to them. The staff are super friendly and welcoming - they can't do enough for you - it felt really good to be there. Everything is clean and of good quality. They have a lovely outdoor seating area. There is a great food choice for children, vegetarians and meat eaters. This pub has it just right! Perfect stay, and we will definitely be back.

Was in the area and randomly booked this place for a birthday roast dinner based on reviews! It definitely did not disappoint. One of the best roasts we’ve had in a long time. Also pleased to see a veggie option on the menu. Great portion sizes, lovely staff and nice atmosphere. Would strongly recommend to others

We had a fantastic stay at the Kings Head, a whole hectic bunch of us - and we were really blown away by the hospitality. At probably the busiest time of the year, they were on top form - all of the staff were attentive and helpful and we were treated to the best service, and cracking food. The breakfast superb, I went back for the eggs benedict on the second morning - delicious. The bed in the cabin I stayed in was very comfortable and the best thing, was the care and attention they gave my dog. She had a wonderful time and it made my stay even more relaxing. Great stuff. See you next year!

We’ve visited the Kings Head Inn on 4 occasions over recent years for an overnight stay, the last one being last night. We arrived on a really miserable afternoon so spent a couple of hours in the pub with the lovely Helen being our host. What a perfect afternoon sat by a crackling fire enjoying good conversation and a couple of pints. The evening meal and service was totally outstanding; Lisa & Steve really do know how to look after their guests. Breakfast this morning was amazing which topped off a brilliant nights sleep in a super comfy bed with fresh white bedding. Can’t fault the Kings Head Inn and we look forward to our annual visit next year. Thank you so much for having us!

We came here for the night for our 1st year anniversary and stayed in one of the cottages. We really could not fault this place, clean, cosy and classy. Beautiful nights sleep. We ate in the restaurant and it was delicious (compliments to the chef) the truffle mash and truffle and oarmsan fries are a must order. Our servers I think we're called Susan and Marie were wonderful and Amy on front desk was lovely. We will be visiting again soon x

Went for Christmas Day dinner a party of 4. The staff were friendly and attentive nothing too much trouble. The portions were generous and cooked to perfection.
The menu was very comprehensive and catered for all tastes. We all went for Scallop starters that was followed by a mouth cleansing sorbet before our main of Turkey and all the trimming and a braised Beef . Then Christmas pudding and custard, 2 had cheese and biscuits.
Then coffee and mince pies. We can't fault it definatelly do it again. Can't wait to go in the New year.

Spent the New Year weekend here and it was absolutely fantastic.
Really friendly and helpful staff who made sure everyone had a great time celebrating the New year.
Our room was excellent and had everything we needed for our stay.
We will definitely be booking another stay at this fantastic place
