Very accommodating to us as late arrivals for Sunday lunch. A warm welcome and a tasty roast dinner was promptly served as we marvelled at the collection of paraphernalia around the bar. A real find!

This is a proper local pub with bags of character. The menu is good honest standard pub fare, but what I wasn't expecting was how outstanding the food was. I had ham, egg and chips. The eggs free range, proper real ham from the local Exe Valley farm shop and tasty chips... and all this for £8! (yes £8) unbelievable value for money and I'll definitely be trying the rest of the menu. Outstanding!

We were a party of 9 plus 2 dogs, they fitted us all in and made us all very welcomed. Even though they had a big birthday party going on.
The food was excellent home made pasty & burgers.
We asked for a table the following night. Smashing friendly people such a traditional old pub. We will recommend to anyone that stays your way.
Thanks the (Keith's) lot

I ordered 84 pounds worth of food. They couldn't bother to deliver it to my place because they were busy. When I went to collect one hour later the food was not ready. I had to wait 20 mins to collect it. When I got home food was missing. My kids and I had to throw away all the fries for my 6 kids as we couldn't eat them. They were burnt, plain and hard. Impossible to eat. Next day went there to collect my money as there was food missing and I was charged for it. They couldnt be bother to return the money into my card . The man in the bar who gave me my money was very rude. When talking to him walked off and he couldn't bother to explain the bill to me. I was charged vat for the whole bill and vat is less if bill is less....when questioned the man in the bar try to say the vat is the same, which is not. I decided not to argue with him, they can keep the money....
I will advise not to eat here as food is horrible and staff was very rude (the man who cooked my fries). The fries they gave me even a dog cannot eat it. Disgusting.

Great village pub where beer and food has been good on each of my many visits. Try the steak night you won’t be disappointed.

Had a great evening doing Xmas quiz which was really well organised. Lovely atmosphere and great pub food and beer. Dogs made wonderfully welcome too. Altogether a proper country pub.

Great pub, with extremely good, attentive staff.
Large portions of classic pub grub. Would recommend this place for food or just a drink. Made us all feel so welcome, definitely worth going to.
