Friendly little pub. Staff are incredibly pleasant and welcoming. Some good beers on tap and a few spirits available too. Highly recommend.

Amazing Ale House in the heart of Lostock Hall. Friendly staff with 6 regularly changing hand pumps and a selection of kegs, ciders and lagers. Quite simply the best place to drink in LH if you want quality beer and a conversation.

What a cracking Ale House.
Not that obvious from outside with a small door to the rear onto the Lostock Hall centre car park and an unassuming green double shopfront facing The Pleasant Retreat. Both lead you to a warm welcome and pleasant bar with a real ale fan's dream of a selection. Hiding amongst them is the rare (in these parts) offering from the Marston Brewery called Pearl Jet, which if never sampled is definitely worth a slurp.

One of the best micro pubs in the area. Serving fab real ales and Ray the owner is great to talk to and is the consummate landlord. Definitely recommend a couple of pints. Plus just won Pub of the season for Central Lancs CAMRA.
